If you're going to spend far too much on your holiday that's up to you, but you shouldn't expect the schools to approve it just because you want to be extravagant.
You can get a week in a cottage in Devon for £600, or a week at Butlins for £1100. I'm sure the kids would love Butlins, there's loads of stuff for them to do there.
Just think how much more coal you could buy if you spent sensibly on your holiday.
And don't blame it on having a big family, you chose to have that many kids so you should live with the consequences, not expect people to bend the rules for you.

As to devon or butlins NO THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

yes the holiday is for the our kids as much as it is for us ,but if you think going Devon and Butlins is fine then that's up too you .
we prefer our kids too see a bit of the world and different cultures .
and not beer and chicken and chip nights,we don't go on holiday for that, when you can have that at home.

I thought the reason people went to the med was to spend all day on the beach and all night getting pissed. That's why I've never been there.
I've also never been to Butlins, apart from a day trip. The reason I thought the kids would like that is because there's loads of stuff for kids to do, and it's a safe environment for them.
