Re: Fryatt 5yr deal????

We should offer Matty Fryatt a 5yr contract at an increased wage with plenty of bonus incentives!!!!!!!!!

Why would he really want to go? he is in top form in OUR team, banging in 22 already, drawn out contract talks may effect his performance on the pitch and that would be terrible!!!

So give the lad what he deserves for putting us top of this league!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to think our club may be trying to offer him something he would like, pie bonuses for reaching goal tallies etc.

part of the reason i'm convinced hes going is because of the way he acts when he scores-he never seems that bothered imo based on his body language and almost forces a smile. imo his hearts not with the club even if he is playing out of his skin at the moment

Thank God he didn't. The greatest striker I have ever seen was Di Stefano of Real Madrid. He celebrated his goals with one arm raised in salute; like a champion gladiator..
The most exciting striker I have seen was Nat Lofthouse. God help any team mate who tried to hug him.
When a Leicester player scores I want him to get on with the game and try and score another not behave like some Hollywood luvvie . Well done Matty Fryatt above all for scoring but also for not behaving like some prima donna when he does.

it's just his job after all.

Do any of us do daft celebrations several times each day for doing our jobs?

actually yes, I run about with my shirt over my head pretty much on a daily basis

Actualy ye myself and my team all do the "anelka dove"thing after a large shipment is despatched.

So, you get my point then.

If a decent enough team come in for him then he will go and there is very little we can do to stop him.By decent I mean a team in the Championship with Premier League aspirations

I don't think it would benefit us to sell him in January. I think it rather depends on what happens at the end of the season, if we go up there's a chance he could stay. To be honest I can't see why a club like Wolves might make a move for him, they aren't exactly finding goals hard to come by and are unlikely to offer insane money for someone they don't really need. Wolves will likely be in the Premiership next year and it's debateable whether or not Fryatt will be able to make 2 steps up like that in such a short period of time.

I'd rather risk losing him for next to nothing at the end of the season though than sell him in January for £1-2m. Fair enough if someone comes in with an inflated offer it gives us something to think about but I just feel that the need to get out of this league should outway everything else at the moment and that means keeping the team together.

He's too fat to be doing Obafemi Martins-esque flips.....:icon_bigg

Not at work but when playing for TBFC, I am known for some over enthusiastic celebrations when scoring myself. :icon_roll

You self-mutilate with scissors?

I work in a shop and after serving each customer I run around with the Shearer arm raise, before doing an Obafemi flip, followed by a Klinsmann dive, and then get up and do the Crouchie before returning to my till.

Admittedly, I'd serve a lot more customers and have a lot more to celebrate if I didn't do it, but would I be happy? I think not.
