How anyone can seriously think that RK is a manager that can take us to the next level (i.e. challenge for play offs etc) is beyond me. He is a caretaker. He is a nice guy. He is doing his best. I think he's a decent enough coach. But he isn't a manager - he hasn't got the edge that is required. He reminds me of someone like David Platt.

He was the cheap option

He was the cheap option

Course he was: he had a bit of success because everyone was momentarily bucked up by the departure of the useless Levein....we rightly applauded that success; the board in glee seized the opportunity to appoint him - as you say on the very cheap....and the rest writes itself.

Everyone knows this is the situation - but some can't face up to admitting it.

I don't actually want a nice bloke managing LCFC - what I want is someone who is able to deliver success in the future starting with frightening the current bunch of tossers who are completely unworthy to represent Leicester City.

Good old Rob he has shown all the doubters that he is not so bad after all.
Throughout the course of a season, no matter how bad the manager is you will always win games, especially in this league.

Threw away a lead late on, and by all counts made another crazy substitution. Didn't see the starting line up so can't comment.

I'm certainly not so fickle as to let this result change my opinion of Rob Kelly

How? By luckily winning in the dying moments of a game. By the sounds of it we were fortunate to win, it wasn't down to tactics. We did the usual of trying to hold on to a 1-0 lead.

I'm still sitting on the fence with RK but one win doesn't make things much better.

Im not fickle wow he won his first game in 7, judging by what I heard it was an abysmal game certianly nothing to make me confident it can be repeated.

By sticking by Levi Porter and Gareth McAuley best players in our team today.

We all have opinions Melts and as I see it RK is doing as much as he can with the resources he has and I can't think of any other manager that is available that would do a lot better with the same resources.

they mentioned that RK was youth coach at Wolves on RL. anybody know any players he helped to bring through?

He has to go after that - only two shots on goal all game - get him out!

;-)

We might as well get off RK's back, we might regret it when he comes back to haunt us with Villas youth team :icon_wink

What now ? who would come in and get results before/if MM takes over.

I was joking!

Some fans change their opinion very quickly. RK could become a brilliant manager in time, but time is one thing the fans and MM will not give him. We will want sucess much quicker than Kelly can bring it (if he can at all) - that's football.

I think he may get until the end of the season (as we won't go up this year anyway), unless we get into a relegation fight.
