Holloway Staying

This means one of two things to me, either that MM is a half wit or that he has decided to give up on the club and save his money.

Just the two options? No others?

I'm not saying I'm not disappointed, but faith springs eternal and I can't wait for the new season to start now.

Like I said Backtracking of World Class proportions, instead of admitting it was a stupid thing to say try to dress it up

moan, moan, moan...

Straight after the game against Stoke he said:

"Too many times this season we haven't done it and the table doesn't lie. Our character needs to be looked at, the overall team and squad. The fans have known it but we've let everyone down. We have to hold our hands up, we were the ones with the responsibility and couldn't deal with it".

He speaks of a collective, rather than individual, responsibility. But in this statement, he admits his, and others, failings. Don't see what more could be expected to be honest. What do you want the man to do, blame himself for everything from Fryatt's finishing to the earthquake in China?

Truth is, he was partly responsible for us going down. Nothing more, nothing less.
Who is responsible for the "We".

Nothing of the sort was implied. It's nevertheless interesting to see who is and is not ready to accept the decision.

It's not a case of acceptance, as well you know

It's a case of reacting to the news, as everyone has done - and commenting on how it affects them

Perhaps we should not have passed comment after every disappointing loss this season - but should instead have simply 'accepted' the result and got on with it

To be fair as well in the interview today he was saying "we" have let people down!
indeed, he also said "They" on a few occasion when dishing out blame, not once do I recall him saying "I".

I am really disappointed by this decision. I really do think he had his chance and blew it. In my wildest dreams ( and by jove I have some wild ones) I can't see Holloway taking us from Div 1 to the Premiership.

Its MM's call and I will have to live with it, but I don't have to accept it without a moan and groan. :thumbs_do:089::088::119::076::019::010::101::091:

I have just had more piss take texts/emails about Ollie staying than I did about being relegated.

I can not believe that MM did not pull the trigger, the stench of relegation is on IH and with him at the helm it will take a bit more than 'house keeping' to get rid of it.
