To be honest, before we can offer sympathy, we need letters from her (I'm assuming) father detailing moneys owed, and entertaining stories about flights and fences. Maybe then we will begin to care and understand :icon_wink:icon_bigg
:icon_bigg

Or he could just post some of the 'arty' pictures he took of her years ago when he got her bladdered on cherry brandy....

Ive got bloody hayfever, once about every 5 years I get it and ive got it now, Bloody annoying it is.
I'd kill to have hayfever every 5 yrs.

I have found out this week it is costing the NHS over £100 per month to treat me to a standard that still means my life is hell. To rid me of hayfever for the year would cost less than £3.40, but because it is a steroid, my GP refuses. If he had to go through what I am going through now, he would change his mind.

Arsewipe.

Silly question, and one you've probably asked yourself, but would a different GP prescribe it? or is it a strict "no go" drug?

It is prescribable, but it's a lottery as to whether you'll get it. My last GP, before we moved, was more than happy, whereas the whole practice where we are now, won't touch the stuff.

I have been put on a short course of oral steroids (begrudgingly), but the side effects seem to be worse than having the shot of the stronger stuff. Which is not good, seeing as I'm a narky old cow to begin with!!

Do you know the name of the drug you need?

I'm sure you know my next suggestion :icon_wink

A private doctor? :102:

Beware of the side effects - like being banned from the olympics.

More seriously, there was a bit on TV last night about this. Apparently GPs have been severely restricted in giving treatment for the last 20 years after a number of deaths from side effects. Immunotherapy (which sounds like what you might need) is now only available at specialist clinics, but there is a big shortage of specialists. So maybe the hospital appointment has got you on the list.

Ha ha, I did read that I cannot compete in this year's Olympics, which was a bit of a disappointment. :icon_bigg

Immunotherapy was mentioned by the GP, but he seemed to think it was only available for grass, so to save time, I have been tested to see if I am allergic to the stuff, and low and behold, I am very allergic to grass. He thinks that they may test me for other allergies though. :icon_roll

Will be interesting to see what they say, but I am getting very pissed off with myself at the moment. Two months ago, I ran a marathon without any problems. At the minute, I can't walk up the stairs without struggling for breath! It's crap how debilitating allergies/asthma can be. :icon_sad:

Rather depressed.....in seems the ungrateful bunch on this island may have destroyed the Lisbon Treaty.

My feelings towards the micks is slowly changing after this result, to a point where I may apply to become one myself. Well done Ireland and **** off Europe......:038::038::038::038:

knackered. Had my boy's 9th birthday party this afternoon. 15 hyper boys full of e-numbers tearing round inside quasar. I managed to settle some scores though, little feckers.

Tired. Needed to do an all-nighter tonight as well;(revision) got my 1st of 4 exams from tomorrow :icon_sad:
