Yes I do. I don't think the criticism of Shakespeare (for want of a better phrase) has anything to do with him not being a 'big name'.
I don't agree. I think Shakespeare is suffering the anger and hangover of the Ranieri sacking and of some of the players letting themselves down last season. I think if a Mancini had taken us to 12th last season from where we were many critics of CS would be talking about how well he had done. They'd also be much more willing to accept the results we have had this season and give him more time.

So we are 5 games into a season having played Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd. Things don't look too good but isn't it a little early to start panicking.

For me the crucial thing is the impact of Iborra and hopefully Silva. If they are the business then I think we are a different side. We are relying on second rate central midfielders at present. In the Premier League you just can't do that.

...and yes this is coming from me (Micky) - that negative old twat.

I don't know.

If we sack him and get someone else in, I don't know if they'll succeed either.

Quite right but let's get shot of him before he has the opportunity to pick his best team in the system he sees fit?

We can quite easily give him 1/2 the season with very little damage done.

Over reaction from some of gargantuan proportions.

They are a strong outfit with some fantastic talent, none more so than Mooy who was brilliant throughout
I agree that Mooy played very well. But in that hole in midfield that we do not seem to play in, most players appear to excel. Our current set up is seriously flawed with our current midfield personnel.

Keep clutching at your positive straws chaps.

You have to respect them

All I see is black

Mostly every time I see the teamsheet
Surely that is only what you see in a few positions? Out of interest Homer, who would you drop?

I accept that BN and Give Us A Wave want us to do well. However, I do feel they made up their mind about Mr Shakespeare without any evidence.

Stan Cullis at Wolves, Tommy Docherty at Chelsea, Matt Busby at Man U and Bill Nicholson at Spurs had not been managers before getting success. Leeds appointed a player as manager and even his critics have to admit Don Revie was good at the job. This may be Craig's first managerial role but he has a great deal of experience.

We have not followed up our Premier League success because we bought such poor players in the summer of 2016. This was certainly not Shakespeare's fault.

The club had the chance to see how Shakespeare handled the job in the second half of the season. That is the real test. It does not take long to realise if someone is up to the job or not. My guess is that Top and above all Mr Rudkin will have been impressed or they would not have made the appointment permanent.

For decades I believed the club lacked ambition. I do not believe this is true of the Thais.
Hopefully they also realise that football clubs need stability The season we were relegated to League One we got through four managers.

Much easier to just flip that comment around. What evidence is there that Shakespeare is up to the job? We're too big a club nowadays to take a punt on someone with zero managerial experience or credibility.

Shakespeare is a nice chap. I'm sure he's excellent company and by all accounts a decent coach. And that's where it ends for me. He hasn't got 'it'. He's got no charisma, no fear factor, no ingenuity and no authority.

Every time we play another team, he takes no account of their strengths and weaknesses. He picks his team and that's it. He employs a mix of his two predecessors formations/tactics because he has none of his own. A 12 year old that plays Football Manager would be able to outwit him tactically. It's painful to watch. And then you see his players look to him on the touchline at times and he's lost, utterly incapable of knowing the right thing to do. So he just copies the words and the gestures of his two predecessors. And so the players turn back and muddle on for themselves.

Of course, I would love to be proved wrong by him and for us to do well. But it's like watching a child performing in a school play. Some of you have decided to be doting parents overseeing all the mistakes and the foul ups because he's not to be held up to grown up standards. In truth, his performances are just no good. He's out of his depth and keeps getting his lines wrong and it doesn't do anyone any favours to pretend otherwise.

I don't blame Shakespeare for any of this. He got the job by default and no rational person would turn down the sort of money that will set him up for life irrespective of what happens. Our owners bottled it and I think they did this because they hadn't got a clue what else to do.

Unlike the owners, most of us remember the last time we did this. Rob Kelly was also a lovely chap that the players liked. Didn't make him a manager though.

This. Unfortunately. Previously, those managers we were able to attract had, at best, a couple of good experiences and a few shite ones - so having a punt on someone inexperienced was somewhat more rational. At this point, we should be able to get a manager with a solid track record.

Still think we should give Craig a year, mind. Just think it will be a pretty wasted one. And that opportunity cost should not be disregarded.

What evidence is there that any manager is up to any job before they start it?

Is Guardiola up to the Man City job? Statistics say he should be as he's a 'proven manager' but many people now think that he may be out of his depth. Is Klopp up to the Liverpool job? Same story. Then again, what evidence was there that Howe would be up to a Premier League job? He most certainly is though. Perhaps we shall be saying the same about Wagner come the summer.

The answer to the question is simple. Time tells us. Time gives us the evidence we need to come to any such conclusions and time is one thing that we haven't given Shakespeare enough of. Bedore we confine him to the same annals of history that Rob Kelly resides within, the fair, just and sensible thing to do is to afford him the time to show us one way or another whether he can be successful.

Oh, I like that Pop.

All of those managers have a discernible style and have had to work their way up to having their deservedly high reputations. Shakespeare got the job because he's always been the good cop and the owners needed a quick patch to get the lads back onside. All he has done so far is try to copy Pearson and Ranieri's greatest hits. He has had no original ideas except for 20 minutes of hot back 3 action against Atletico. He hasn't earned it, he was just in the right place at the right time and I'm convinced he has no idea how to beat the opposition. We're shit away from home, we're predictable and it's so blantemtly obvious what we're going to do each week it's frankly embarrassing. If I can notice it, a highly qualified Premier League manager can. It's basic, it's thoughtless and it's a waste of money on a season ticket. All we do is a bad impression of Ramieri's team. That season has pretty much ruined football for me admittedly, because nothing will ever compare to it but it would be nice to see something thoughtful and different.

I take no pleasure in seeing us fail as some of the anti Shakespeare lot of been accused of. I love Leicester and these players but they need to be pushed. Right now it's stagnant and ****ing boring. Shakespeare will be gone by Christmas, mark my words. It gives me no joy but that's the way it is and I'm gutted that we squandered our chance to be something special and different for more than one season and a Chamions League campaign (not CS's fault)

It seems to me that the attitude is that "we won the league with this team and style so we'll keep doing it"

The problem seems to be ignorance.

We had a midfielder that could single handedly boss the midfield. We don't any more.

We had a winger in world class form who has since lost his mojo.

We had an experienced defence, now they are aging.

We were fortunate with injuries and the lack of depth in the squad wasn't exposed. Now we are picking up our share of injuries.

Opponents struggled to counter our style, now teams know how to shut us down.

It is time for the club to adapt, but we have a manager who got the job precisely because he won't change anything.

It's all very frustrating.

The visit to the Slubbers Arms, one of my favourite away pubs, was the highlight of the day.

First 30 mins were prob the worst since we came back to the prem
