Quite right nuffink wrong with optimism but it's sometimes wise to get away from football for a couple of months personally. I can anything above 18th would be an achievement next season but I have a sneaky feeling we may have a flirtation with the play-offs before settling around 10th.
The only managers I have been happy to see go are Peter Taylor and Martin Allen.
I cannot agree that anything above 18th would be an achievement. We are tending to overate the bottom half of the Championship.
In my opinion the present team would have finished about halfway in the Championship. Some championship teams have worse squads than us. Others have good players but do not work as a team.
The Championship cannot be that good considering that we nearly escaped relegation with some dreadful players and a complete lack of teamwork last season.
I will be disappointed if we are not around the playoffs. That does not mean I will call for NP to be sacked. The only managers I have been happy to see go are Peter Taylor and Martin Allen.
i agree, i dont think the gulf between the Championship and League One is actually that big tbh.
That said, ill just be happy if we take 6pts off the shit in SkyBlue next season, ive had to take more than enough stick from the Cov supporting ***** down my way for the past few years, the 3-0 victory under Levein was about the only foothold i had
Even if we finish rock bottom of the league with only 6 points? :icon_wink
Yes, should have kept Holloway - he has done brilliantly as a mangager since he left us!

Pretty much sums up my feelings (apart from the Martin Allen thing, wasn't really bothered either way)My comment was that I had been happy to see Peter Taylor and Martin Allen go. I was not "happy" to see Ian Holloway since I felt he was a good man and in other circumstabnces a good manager. However, he was the wrong man for the situation he inherited. We needed a calming influence and a steady hand which was not Holloways strength.
While I was not "happy" to see Ian Holloway go Milan was right to sack him. Relegation was so traumatic and happened on his watch so we needed a fresh start. Nigel of course provided that calming influence and steady hand we needed.
