Horse and Hounds at Great Glen. Had a big breakfast as part of a 2 for £10 deal. Wow! What a massive plateful, what a bargain!

2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausages, half a tomato, beans, mushrooms and two pieces of toast for a fiver :icon_razz

Red Lion, Rothley. Carvery. Not too bad quality-wise but way too mean with the meat portions.

Funnily enough I'm going there friday and have had to pre-order as its a large group - 25 dishes to pick from :icon_roll
What I mean was there was only Bhuna, Tikka Masala, Jalfrezi, Balti etc. Then you got to choose which meat you wanted. There wasn't any specials, or anything out of the ordinary.

When it comes to Indians, you should make the distinction as to whether it's a curry house (like Jamal's) or a restaurant (like Mem Saab).

Completely different ways of doing things.

Carluccios - Highcross. Simple Italian Food at a reasonable price. Good service. Only complaint was it looks more like a works canteen than a restaurant.

Franky & Bennys (Ikea site, Nottingham)

****ing awful. My pizza had a piece of cardboard on it, my daughters egg was snotty on top and took 15 mins for a replacement by which time she'd eaten her meal. Drinks ridiculous (£2.15 for a small coke). Dessert was ok, but pankcakes not warm as described.

1/10 - Simply because they gave my kids a drawing pack on arrival which kept them quiet.
