I havent bothered posting in reply to thewhites yet, but the whole debate is running around in circles.

At this moment of time if we lost Fryatt it would seem we would be at a disadvantage but who is to say DJ and Dickov cant take over as goalscorers.

I think Fryatt will leave in the window, but that still means he can get another hatrick on boxing day.

How anyone can come on here and say Leeds are better than Leicester on performance this season is bonkers. The table stands as it is, thewhites claimed a month or more ago that we would struggling in the playoffs at this point, this is clearly wrong.

We are top of the league due to one person scoring goals and having confidence but its the whole team that has pulled together, we are top of the league and we havent really started going yet.

Leicester > Leeds

This is my point.
Some of you actually think you are better than what you are with comments like 'we haven't started going yet, and 'they havent played to their potential yet'

The thing is, you don't know how your team will be affected when you lose your top scorer next month. You are relying on Dj/Howard to step up the mark when he has gone. Huge gamble imho and I can see a few score draws coming your way.

so scarby can't think we are better than we are, because we don't know what the future holds. but you do? please explain....

You can tell if a player doesnt play to their potential, and a few of ours havent yet. On Saturday by all accounts those that have underperfromed in the past started to play better and we win 3-0.

Im not saying we will get better but if those that can play better than they have been doing then we will win the league with 6 games to spare

A few score draws, are you ****ing demented, do you even know what your saying?

So if we lose our main striker we are still going to score goals but all of a sudden concede more?

So we lose our "only" goalscorer and then get score draws. your argument is logical. Still as long as most of our games are wins and the rest are score draws, I think we'll do okay.

much better than getting pissed on by histon.

If you think it's all wrapped up cos your 1 pt ahead then it will just fall on deaf ears

We're only one point clear of 2nd place yes but we're four points clear of 3rd which is a nice little cushion. If we can get to Jan and be 6+ points clear of 3rd then I think, even if Fryatt goes, we can hope to go up automatically.

I like the fact you appear to know what our Chairmans's thinking is. I don't but I would surmise it will be to keep Fryatt until the end of the season. There is no sense in letting him go in January as I don't think the compensation we would get in the summer would be any less than what we would get in January. Another point that our Chairman will factor in to his thinking is that he wants to get out of this division. That may possibly be easier achieved by keeping Fryatt. Not difficult to work out, really.

Bit unfair on Bob. Should've directed that comment at thewhites IMHO :icon_wink

I presumed that Lako's comment was written in support of mine - but the quoting did not make that clear.

You shouldn't be so presumptive :icon_wink

That's what I picked up on. I'm sure he wasn't really having a go at you :icon_lol:

but he might have been. :icon_conf

Sorry Boc, It most certainly was not directed at you. Im going back to Quote school.

Will you be talking about him when he's gone next month?

Fryatt at the moment would not get anywhere near my top 10 city strikers.
Whilst i wont deny being disappointed if he goes, it certainly would not be the end of the world.
Tbf you know feck all about our team, and i'm sorry to shatter your hopes but we are an emerging team with some good young players, not a team on its last legs.
If i was you i would concern yourself with the inevitable loss of wonderboy.

I reckon if leeds don't go up this season they will be proper fecked.

There will be riots and demonstrations soon.:icon_bigg

Said it before that last season the 15pt deduction took the pressure of them. This season they have no excuses and thus so far they are bottling it.

The other good thing is the pressence of Leeds takes the pressure off us as they're faves to go up. deflects a lot of attention away from us and our quite young squad

Thank you Leeds
