We were bloody magnificent. Great atmosphere, aggressive performance, solid at the back and a lovely goal.

De Laet's tackle on Podolski at the end was a personal highlight. He had a storming game. Moore and Morgan looked largely untroubled by Sanogo. Cazorla was anonymous thanks to King and Hammond working their bollocks off.

Really chuffed.

De Laet was asleep for their goal...

Definitely De Laet's fault for not tracking his man. Otherwise had a great game though, so difficult to criticise too much. Schlupp deserves special praise today, pace caused them trouble and he tackled well, cross for the equaliser picked out his man perfect.

Someone on 5live just said you've gotta expect a physical game against Pearson's leicester. I'd like to applaud the club for signing an entire new team this morning, there was me thinking we'd had a quiet summer.

RDL sleeping for their goal, but apart from that I thought he was excellent. Seemed to be a bit more composed on the ball today, not giving it away so cheaply like he did against Everton.

For two players most were quite happy to see the back of, I think Konchesky and Hammond have both stepped up excellently so far. Morgan is another one many said might not make it but is firmly silencing the doubters, him and Moore have been awesome.

Really like the look of Ulloa, has a good touch for a big man, he works hard and defends well at set pieces a lot like Drogba did for Chelsea for many years. But most of all he's found the net a couple of times already, looks very good business.

I thought we were excellent again today and thoroughly deserved a point, arguably the side more likely to win it.

It will be interesting to see if we play with the same intensity and effort that we have for the first 3 games against 'lesser' sides like Burnley, QPR, West Brom etc. if we do, we will be just fine.

Really, really proud of them today. One mistake for the goal but aside from that superb. Ulloa looks a bargain at £8 million, Vardy looked right at home when he came on and I'd play him ahead of Nugent TBH. Our back four all looked good, we do not look out of place in this company. Bring on Stoke!

To be fair even their goal had an element of fortune about it. It was deflected into the path of the arsenal striker who couldn't miss really. They had one other clear chance besides that one and Kasper saved well.

We were the more dangerous and although the stats show they had four times more shots than us and two thirds of the possession we were the more dangerous and could quite easily have walked away with three points and no one could have said it was unfair.

A thoroughly excellent performance against a side destined to finish in the top six.

Absolutely feckin' wonderful afternoon, again. Football at LCFC is so enjoyable right now it's unbelievable

King and Hammond were simply superb, Ulloa adds something we've been missing for years, Schlupp cause real problems and Mahrez was outstandng (why on earth did he go off ??)' and the whole back four were top notch

Only downside was Albrighton, who was complete and utter toss. Total shit of the highest order

Onwads and upwards to the top six

As an old city supporter I'm delighted with our performance - no one mentioned that Arsenal had 3 world cup winners in their team - you know the team that thrashed Brazil - and they still couldn't beat us ?

Well I'm exhausted after that and my voice has gone. What a terrific afternoon.

Some of our players were tremendous. Today, Mahrez and Ulloa were top class. On several occasions, Schmeichel was our best attacker and some of his quick kicks towards Schlupp, Mahrez or Ulloa were a real asset. They don't always work, but they are worth it because they're so difficult to defend against. Morgan and Moore defend like lions.

Some of our players need to be fitter. I know the work rate required is demanding but we can't have four of five breathing out of their arses after an hour. I think if a few more had better stamina, we'd have won.

On the varied comments on De Laet, he was hopeless in the first half but much better in the second. It's a hard league though and I can see Simpson taking his place on merit soon. Konchesky on the other hand, I thought would be out of his depth but he isn't in terms of his play and fitness.

Albrighton was dog shite when he came on. We're still not good enough at protecting our defence. Arsenal had 24 shots, more than they'd had in any match they played last season. Following a similar number for Chelsea last week, there is a warning here that we have to heed. I can't fault the efforts of Hammond and King but we've got to play three in the midfield. I really don't think we need another striker. What we're missing is a number 10 type play-maker.

Wonderful competitiveness though throughout. The support from the crowd was excellent and nobody is going to find us easy to play against if we can repeat this level, or hopefully better, each time.

The majority of their shots were from outside the box and defended well, don't forget a blocked shot still gets counted as a shot. At no point today did they look like they were going to win it, any more than we did.

Although I agree with your summary their 24 shots on target were blocked and did not find their way through to goal.

We had to concede possession as collectively and individually they were always going to pass the ball better. We played deep and blocked almost everything outside the box.

As per my previous post stats are misleading, maybe it should be reported as shots saved (by the goalkeeper) rather than blocks anywhere.
