Interestingly I read Rab's interview when he signed for us and he stated there was a genuine belief that the squad would be good enough to go up. So whilst we buy into this long term plan, please bear in mind that the manager and the squad believed promotion was a possibility, I didnt, but there is no way in this world with the budget, resources and squad available that we should be 5TH BOTTOM in this division, and I really cannot think of any justification for Levein staying on at this present moment. 5 wins all season in 24 league games is appalling and one win in the last 9 when we are supposedly playing better.

Then couple that with the news that Craig wants a striker, centre half and winger, yet no mention of a left back and too be honest my concerns intensify.

Spot on Steve. CL set himself the relatively easy target of finishing above where we finished last season. Currently he isn't even managing that most modest of feats.

I am pissed off to with the results and the league position, who isn't? As for a players interview when they first join, not heard one yet who has said... " well the players here are shite and I cannot see us getting up within the next 3 years!". Every player who joins a club at first indicates they have joined a dynamic team and are going to set the world on fire.

I just look at the squad, the situation the club is in and make my own mind up.

Didn't we gamble before though and it nearly ended with there being no LCFC left for us to 'debate' ? We were left going 'cap in hand' to all and sundry If I remember rightly.

But that was due to us being irresponsible, we have cash available and it is a fairly safe assumption that Wigan will stay up, I dont want anybody to gamble with the future of our club, however what cost relegation, crowds will no doubt dip to under 15k, most if not all the decent young players will leave and the plan is up the swanny, we are in serious danger, please lets not kid ourselves we are in a relegation scrap, we had the opportunity to really put some daylight between ourselves and the bottom 3 and we have picked up 2 points against Millwall and Crewe both at home, I fully expect us to beat Reading away, as we always seem to get a result when the pressure is building, but then again I another 5 or 6 game run where we fail to win, that is the pattern and it has been for over 12 months.

where does gamble finish and irresponsible start? You say all football is a gamble, and I think the gamble is to stay with CL. Also the money we have is it not best used to strengthen the squad rather than pay it out in compensation? We are in a relegation battle but so are several others. But we don't have cash available.Levein hinted before the match today on RL that he will be allowed to bring in 2 players.We are near the bottom of the Table,we are not in a 'Relegation Scrap' theres 22 matches still to be played FFS.:icon_lol:
