I wasn't really clear on whether they were reporting fact or rumour, they said 'we've had some calls come in, one saying that Pearson has ruled himself out and another saying that there is a meeting going on at the KP right now', don't know if they meant calls from members of the public or calls from sources.

Certainly, I've never seen so many candidates come in and out of contention while nobody, anywhere, has the faintest idea as to what is really going on.

It's either an absolute masterclass in diversion and subterfuge or the club has lost the plot on an unprecedented scale.
