The question to ask is why would our owners travel to Liverpool today?

They spent Thursday in London speaking to candidates/their representatives. Why not pick up a conversation in London or Leicester today - going to Liverpool is odd.

Benitez of course lives in Spain. However, he does have a house in the Wirral and would be the sort to get the club to come to him.
 
Doesn’t Brendan Rodgers still have a place in Liverpool………

I don't think he's a bad manager but I don't think he would have been the right person to bring in at this time so not too disappointed.

I guess he didn't like the strategy of having Luke Thomas as the only confirmed player in the squad for next season!
 
On a side note I'm sick of this "plays Leicester's brand of football" or "fits into Leicester's style of play."

We haven't got a ****ing style of play. We're shit. That's our brand. We try to play possession-based football but we tippy tappy around, pass-out when we should clear it and then make a mistake, go side-to-side instead of forwards and have no creativity or flair.

If this is our style of play then WELCOME, JESSE ****ING MARSCH to Leicester City. The land of possession. I tell you what I want??? Top to be possessed by his father's spirit for just two seconds to make an actual ****ing decision that benefits the football club.

May he R.I.P. - I miss Vichai. Wise, knew when to cut ties, cared about the club and wasn't afraid to make a decision.

I also have new found extra respect for Nigel Pearson, Craig Shakespeare and Steve Walsh. Those three musketeers built us up to have that magical season. Without their hard work there would've been nothing. They built this club, a foundation, a great squad and an identity. We need footballing people involved here to completely re-structure.

****ing useless and inept commentators talking about our style. We've as much style as Age Concern. I imagine Susan in the interviews talking about this style. She'll just be repeating things she's heard Jeff Stelling say.

Jesse Marsch won't be making a Premier League comeback with Leicester City

Jesse Marsch has withdrawn from the recruitment process to appoint the next Leicester City manager, having been the frontrunner to take over the relegation-threatened club.
The American coach, sacked by Leeds United in February, was close to agreement and had been due at the Leicester training ground on Saturday. He watched Saturday’s defeat to Bournemouth and took the decision after a conversation with his coaching staff that night. The club were told this morning.
Marsch is understood to feel that the club would need a different approach in the Championship next season if they were to be relegated – as well as a different profile of player to the one that he is accustomed to recruiting. The club have one point from their past eight matches and play Manchester City on Saturday. After then they could easily be six points from safety with seven games to play.
The defeat to fellow relegation candidates Bournemouth brought additional problems. There was an injury to Harvey Barnes, identified as a potential hamstring problem in the aftermath of the game by caretaker manager Adam Sadler. Youri Tielemans, a free agent come July, has not played since an ankle injury in the defeat to Arsenal at the end of February.

Marsch’s experience at Leeds has also shaped his thinking and he was lukewarm at taking the Southampton job after that became available following the sacking of Nathan Jones. The decision will have come as a surprise to Leicester who interviewed a number of candidates last week. It means the club will now have to return to one of the others who met with the club over a series of preliminary interviews in London on Thursday.
One possible option is former Aston Villa manager Dean Smith, most recently at Norwich City, who could yet be appointed – perhaps with former Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare as his assistant. Also mentioned in the process have been Rafael Benitez, and Martin O’Neill, one of the greatest coaches in the club’s history.

Well done for getting yourself worked up about something you've completely imagined. I haven't seen one single post saying anything about us having a particular style of play.

I've heard many commentators. No article I can remember but many many commentators.

Not to mention people I meet who still think we're midtable.
