I think he would have been banned for a lot of games anyway.I doubt the decision is about the teams results because you have deserved more points than you currently have. The incident yesterday was serious and will affect Nigel"s future employment prospects. His post match comments made him sound like an angry bouncer more than a manager

I never expected to be this gutted we've lost much more than the manager here, ruderless and sinking.

Throws next seasons promotion push into massive doubt.

**** you Stringer, you ****.

OK, it would be hypocritical to say that I am sorry, but I, like most of you, am amazed at the timing -IF THIS IS TRUE. I cannot think of too many good managers currently available.

The only thing that I'll throw into the mix is that (still with that veracity proviso) it doesn't look like he has been dismissed due to results: were that the case, it would have been far more sensible to do it in December. It may be that the club issued a warning after the fracas with a fan, and seeing another touchline incident so soon, was the final straw or, I did mention elsewhere, that I would not have been amused at a £9m signing was not part of the most important game of the season...

Very strange and, frustrating because we will never know the truth.

I'm not one for getting rid of Pearson but when Palace scored yesterday I was thinking that was us as good as relegated.

I can't guess what is going to happen in the next few days, weeks (well, I can guess but I'll no doubt be wrong).

Don't understand why everyone is harping on about the timing. We aren't going to stay up now so what difference does it make. Much better to clear the decks and get ready for life in the Championship once more.

I got an alert from The Score on my iPhone, haven't seen anything official yet.

What? Do you think a promotion push wasn't in doubt anyway? He took three years to master it, remember? I like Pearson but he isn't some sort of promotion specialist. We could just as easily have ended up midtable. Lots of people seem to be of the view that turning up with the same set up as last season would be enough to romp the league again alone.

Apparently he was sacked for this

Should have been much earlier if we were gonna do it. Now we're up shit creek without a paddle. Nobody available who can do a better job IMO...

Steve Beaglehole looks to be doing Ok. If Pearson has gone, could he do anything worthwhile?

It would appear that the sacking is true, if so I would like to thank Nigel for the service given to our wonderful club, for the great days last season and we must all now look forward to the new manager coming in and backing him until the season ends COYB

Wondered why Hoddle left when 'arry did one.....

They'll go for gross misconduct based on the 'incident' and the f.o.a.d one previously. Save 'em a bit of money

Shower of complete wankers
