I think (hope) you'll find that there are far more people who share this point of view than the view of those who are prepared to condemn immediately without even giving him a chance.
lets hope so. we are supposed to be supporters :102: so lets do are bit.

the first third of the season should be spent giving gm an opputunity to sort the team out, ie strengths and weakness's, do we need any loans in etc.

Sort out a squad who just beat one of the best teams in the league 4-1?

or mess up and chane the said squad.

Regardless of what GM does, Milan has well and truely got rid of a massive wave of optomism and good feeling.

I have called him a Ginger Tw*t and whilst I admit it was not intended as a term of endearment, it did express my disappointment that MM could not appoint someone more who more obviously plays an expansive game.

That said he gets my support right up to the point where MM fires him, as he obviously has far less patience than we have with managers.

Some interesting comments from Pulis that put a little perspective in there and goes beyond what you might expect from 'Manager Mates'.

people who are expecting immediate sucsess are crazy in my eyes.

the second third we should be looking to consolidate some performances and start playing to a set way.
the third and final run -in should hopefully see us push on for a play off place.
'

If it was even remotely possible to compartmentalise a season in that way, by the time you'd got to the 'third and final run in' we would already have missed the boat & it would be far too late to have any hope of getting anywhere near the play offs.
The dizzy heights of midtable at best.

like i said,

'sort out a squad that beat one of the best teams in the league 4-1'
the encouraging thing about beating watford, is that weve got the players to win tough games in this league, but they need sorting out as other performances against lesser opposition have proved.
ma has gone, for off the field reasons,so we have to get on with supporting the chairman, manager and players so we can get a few more reults like that against watford.
the fact tony pulis (a good football man imo) has come out and praised gm, despite all the shit some football supporters have said about him, including some numptys on here, gives me hope for the future.

why would we have missed the boat :102:
the last third is 15 games, your telling me no team has had a good run in, at the end of the season and made the play-offs.i dont know what formula you used to work that out, but it definately aint an optomistic one.then again macky you do love to be argumentative :icon_wink

The way it looked to me yesterday was that we were doing ok, about what I had expected and that the substitutions were to blame, Kishishev offered nothing and Cort should have been substituted way before he was - the guy looked knackered on 60 minutes. On the plus side, at least it is a point gained and I am hoping for a much improved performance on Tuesday.

you could be right cate fox about the substitutions.i was shouting for cort to come off as he was poor yesterday.
i dont know whats our best 11, and im sure most people would be the same,we have totally overhauled the squad for obvious reasons since last season, so why people think everything will click into place so quickly amazes me.at the end of the day with anyone new they need time. its just a shame some people wont give him that.

Well at least we agree on one thing. :icon_bigg

Do you live near a little midget wearing a white suit that runs around shouting "hey boss, the plane boss, the plane is coming!" by any chance?

i was very suprised to hear megson blaming the players poor decisions for us just getting a point. personally i'd blame his shit substitutions and inability to see the fecking obvious. i was indifferent to him before the game, i'd sack him now though

you unsensative tw&t, you know im not tall and i do like white clothes :icon_wink

It was a shit result. We can wrap it up any way we want but a 1-1 draw at home to QPR is not good enough.

much better than the same fixture last season

It is early days yet, the win we should have got would have taken us to 5th place.

It is a very open league and we could still do well.

Does any one know for a fact that the Ginger Knob made those substitutions on Saturday, or is that a theory that fits the Megson is shite expectations?

Just want to know the facts
