Does any one know for a fact that the Ginger Knob made those substitutions on Saturday, or is that a theory that fits the Megson is shite expectations?

He may not have picked the team but he was running the show, waving his arms around like a demented windmill, and the subs were down to him. Twat!

Megson was responsible for the changes, but how can this be blamed for someone having a pot shot from 30 yards ??

Had that not gone in, we'd have won. Megson would have been god and we'd have all gone home happy.

Get off his back and give the guy a chance ffs.

City were playing closer to their own 18 yard line than they needed to. If we had pressed further up the pitch then it would have had to have been a 40 yard pot shot. ;)

.

Because following the ridiculous substitutions the whole team were all standing thirty yards deeper than we were before - hence giving the bloke a free 'pot shot' unchallenged

they weren't in our feckin' half for most of the game

You can dress it up in any way you like, but the bloke cost us two points

"But after that it seemed we had decided to go and play a different way.

We were naive and made some poor decisions at critical times.

"It was a very poor performance in the last 15 minutes when we were skating on thin ice, not because of what QPR were doing because of what we weren't."

Errrr.... I think that was down to you Gary not to the players.

He's got that right - two feckin stupid subtitutions, and the failure to replace the completely knackered Carl Cort

Very poor decisions that cost us the game

Agreed, we played like complete twats after the changes. Far too deep, hoofing the ball away repeatedly or dilly dallying in the box - complete farce. We were playing for the full time whistle from 70 minutes. Ludicrous.

All against one of the worst teams we have ever seen at the Walkers - we will not play a worse side than that this year

Exactly, I wouldnt have minded if it had been for the final five minutes. That would have been understandable at 1-0 but not for the final twenty minutes!! Crazy stuff.

I still dont understand what Kish offerred on the left? He is a right footed defensive midfielder!! Mental.

Agreed. Total, total shite.

Spoke to some QPR fans after the game, and they reckon they are the worst they've been for years, but because of us sitting back for the last 20 minutes they thought they could have nicked the game - I had to agree with them, it was Levein all over again.

They had some golden opportunites to win the game in the last 20 due to our completley inept performance during that period. QPR were complete toss, we were worse.

my 6 year old nephew who went to his first proper game said we were 'absolutely rubbish' but he wants to go again :icon_conf:icon_bigg

Unfortunately, Megson is not going to be a "God".

In my opinion, this is a very unwise appointment indeed. No one else in this division would have given him the manager's job and he only has it because Milan has built such a reputation for being unreasonable that better candidates did not want the job.

This is not very nice but it is the grim reality. The lack of enthusiasm for Megson has got nothing to do with him being ex-Forest per se. It is because he was a disaster at the Forest and everyone knows that. Prior to that he had a reputation for fairly effective but unattractive football.

I can understand how we have got into this situation but I think the outlook for this season is bleak. In effect, Milan has dissipated his limited resources on a very mixed bunch of signings some of whom are apparantly from (lack of) selection totally unfit for purpose; he has appointed and dismissed one very enthusiastic manager who apparantly created unnecessary problems by upsetting everyone; he has appointed and dismissed after a couple of minutes a 'director of sport' and now has appointed a new manager who no one else would touch. The comings and goings continue as does the pattern of results with us standing 17th in the league (broadly where we were last season and the season before); having won one league game; having played more home than away games; having taken a magnificent 1 point from home games against the might of Blackpool and QPR; having been outplayed by Accrington Stanley.

No - I'm not very convinced about the way things are going and predict another long, fairly miserable season.
