Former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is determined to return to the Premier League this season and is keeping an eye on Leicester Cityin case Brendan Rodgers replaces Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United. (Eurosport)
He might be keeping his eye on us, in the same way I keep my eye on the massive county mansion near to where we stay for breaks in Norfolk.

The fact that Lampard believes he should be in with a strong chance of the City job is a perfect illustration of why he'll never be a good manager.

He strikes me as the sort that has always got things easily and so has a naturally inflated self view.

The only chance he has of being what he already thinks he is would be to take a lower league job and graft for a few years. But of course he won't do that because he thinks he's better than such a move.

If Rodgers leaves, which the media seems to want him to, then Potter is the only option I would consider a truly exciting option, out of current/recent Prem managers.
Assuming Guardiola doesn't want the job.

He should go for the Rangers job. Perfectly fits the clubs inflated opinion of itself with his of him, while still giving him the opportunity to earn a move upwards

Doesn’t he have a GSCE in Latin or something? Maybe a job in Serie B next?

Will be absolutely hilarious if we can get money for him.

Is Pochettino available then? If we lost Rodgers I'd certainly be delighted to get him instead

y.
Wouldn’t be a popular appointment from that sample then.

interesting they don’t count the FA Cup as a major trophy.

More rumours my end. Apparently Brendan has withdrawn his kids from Loughborough Grammar. . .and a few other rumours too.

I've got a buddy in the club who has told me that it's almost certainly going to be a foreign replacement and they've already got a list ready.

Again all rumours but just sharing what I've been told.

Probably because they've won so much in the last few years. I'm guessing they'd prefer Pochettino & Sons because Ted managed Liverpool.....

Rob Tanner has said that his Mrs and her kids went back to live in Cheshire a while ago.

What I don't want is something long-winded and drawn out. If he does end up going, then something swift and on to the next one please. I have this feeling that we night try to block him from going because of gentleman's agreement or whatever. Then Utd appoint someone else. Then we have a manager who doesn't truly want to be here.

All starting to feel like the end of a cycle to me:

- Realistically Evans, Kasper and Vardy will have the lengths of their current contracts and then will likely look at retirement/a last pay day

- Tielemans, Soyuncu, Ricardo all appear to be winding down their contracts and probably will move on in the summer

- Ndidi and Fofana are world class talents who will be heavily recruited in the next year. To a lesser extent Barnes and Justin too.

- A highly regarded manager constantly linked with bigger jobs (and one we know is extremely ambitious)

more broadly we have some really awkward contract situations all coming to a head concurrently.

It’s not doom and gloom, but it’s going to be a real period of change over the next year. There is going to be a massive amount of turnover soon and recruitment will be absolutely critical both any the player and coaching level.

It’s a bold time to be chucking down 100m on a stadium expansion
