I would'nt mind betting that the season tickets will rise in the Kop and East stand mainly. At a normal game with no cheap promotions, the kop and the west stand are the most populated. The West stand which is over priced already is mainly empty. If price increases are made in the West stand it would be even less full. I suspect that the loyal fans who mainly fill the Kop and East stand week in and week out will be the ones who are
hit the hardest as usual.

Agreed :icon_evil

No Boc what I mean is getting a protest started.
If all the ST holders witheld from buying for next season, that would hit the clubs cashflow as they rely on early ST monies. Leave buying until say a week or so before the start of the season or even later. That would make the club think a bit more.
These bullshit statements giving cryptic clues to price hikes will have to stop. IMO after watching this seasons offering of shite they should not even be thinking of raising the ST costs.

I think we should start a protest

for once i totally agree with you.

I agree ,the only thing is ,the BM's would have none of it :icon_sad:

A protest is what is needed.

One which will hit the club hard, so they then need to look hard and take notice. The fans of LCFC are not mugs

IMO it would need to be done before the end of this season ,just to let them know we are not standing for it anymore .

Maybe the last home game :102:

definately the last home game..sent them a nice email of my feelings makes me feel better even if they dont give a shit

It would need a lot of people to be strong and not buy ST until things at the club change towards the fans.

The way to do this could work in two parts

Part one ,

As the players come out just before kick off ,don't clap or cheer and turn round and show them your backs .

Part two ,

a sit in at the end of the game till we get someone out like MM and Ollie and the players just let them know how we feel.

ive been doing the not clappin as they come out for about 2 seasons now...we need banners and chanting as well to let them hear what we feel

Trouble is re: a sit in after a game, most fans just want to get home or down the pub away from that shambles.

We've got three home games left, imo if protests ARE to be made, it should be done at all of them, hopefully the Sheff Weds being the biggest protest of the lot.
And it needs to be something that will get the apathetic majority to join in.

I never thought I'd hear meself say it, but I am seriously thinking about not having an ST next season. Normally I wouldn't think twice, would hand over me money regardless.

Didn't we work out that this season prices was raised by 13% or around that much just by getting rid of some of the benefits? The thing that most surprises me is that he came out and said there would be rises rather than just doing it without telling anyone. Does that mean that they're being more honest or that we're going to get an even bigger rise?

Ok, I found the stats...

Cheapest Adult Tickets:
2005/2006 - North/South Stand Adult: £299 + 5% discount for early renewal + 10% loyalty discount = £254.15
2006/2007 - North/South Stand Adult: £299 + 5% discount for early renewal = £284.05 (12% increase on previous season)
2007/2008 - North/South Stand Adult: £322 (13% increase on previous season)

Overall increase of around 27% (£67.85) since 05/06.

Make of that what you will, it's hard to calculate the increase without knowing which tickets go up and what the discounts will be. Worst case scenario is that for some tickets could be around 39-46% (£100-116) more expensive than they were 3 years ago. Best case - with discounts they could be about the same as this season.

Nice work Leigh.

This proves they take the piss. Lets not forget the discount in the shop, do they still give that and at the restaurant?
