sorry, but i'd prefer a dead potential terrorist or mass murdering gunman in a school than dozens of innocents killed. The security of the country is at risk and I'd pefer the old bill shoot first rather than worry about some illegal immigrants human fecking rights....

agree 100%, the Police are there to protect us, they have my trust, and if they think someone needs to be killed, I'll believe them. I bet the rest of the people in the bank are pretty damn pleased the bloke was killed.

I tend to agree and i think the guy in the undergorund was asking for it but that is another conversation....

What asking to be shot seven times at point blank range, did they think they might have missed after the first 3 or 4 times:icon_roll

if they suspected he was a terrorist and he looked like he was reaching for anything after being told to stop, they'd squeeze the trigger without even thinking. it wouldn't take very long for a couple of officers to offload 7 rounds.

Feck me,it will be like The Wild West out there soon
:icon_bigg
Hardly hf, it's not exactly the police death squads of Brazil's favelas is it?

A handful of instances is acceptable when looking at the alternatives.

FFs these people are highly trained the cream of our police Force and they don't realise they are pulling a trigger.''Ifs'' and ''looked like''...obviously a lot of background work when into the operation:icon_roll

i didn't say accidentally squeezed the trigger.

there's not a lot of background work can go into the situation can it???

bloke running through the station, shit lets do a background check!

Bloke running through a station - feck it, let's just kill the fecker ? :102:

Anyway, back to the bank - a sawn off shotgun was recovered at the scene. The guy got exactly what he should have got. Can you imagine the terror he put the bank staff through?

But the armed cops were clearly patrolling the station at the time and he saw them and ran. Now if I was in say brazil and there were armed guards at the airport I wouldn’t tend to think feck I better run away from them, even if I didn’t understand what they were saying I would probably think it wasn’t the best idea to do a fecking runner, then when the were chasing me again I would probably think it may be a good idea to stop.

Well when you put it like that I can clearly see that he deserved to die

The Independent Police Complaints Authority has already investigated and reported on htis incident. Your understanding of this incident is completely at odds with what was concluded by their inquiry. Huge mistakes were made by the police on that day and the behaviour of deMenezes in no way led to his shooting. In particular he did not run from armed police - this is now admitted by the Metropolitan Police.

What happened last night here in Kent seems to have been completely a different case which will be reported on by the IPC in due course.
