I Don't think the original post of this thread was meant to trigger a FT bashing, rather a genuine discussion of the pros and cons of each, perhaps to decide if it as worth joining FT, maybe in addition to this site?

While FT gets regular mentions here, particular recently with the afore mentioned members joining here, i do not recall, recently, a discussion of it merits.

Considering you are one of the more 'prolific' posters on this site, you must agree the the topic of TB Vs FT has arisen a fair few number of times over the past week or so.



I've no idea what tumbleweed is meant to represent.
It is boring, despite the amount of weed you smoke, surely you must be able to remember how often this topic is brought up on here. Even I can remember it!!



Why is people having a discussion about both sites a problem?
Why is someone expressing their feelings that this is an over used topic for discussion such a problem?
It is just that, a discussion, if I ever see a thread that doesn't interest me I just ignore it.
As you say, 'it is just that', but instead of ignoring it, I have decided to make a contribution to it, in the vein hope that people will finally make an end to this ridiculous, childish debate.

It's pretty simple, if you like it on here then stay, but if you prefer it on 'the other side', then **** off over there.

It's almost like a Forest fan saying, 'Who do you like more, Us or LCFC?'

Obviously, being the Forest fan, it would say them, just like an FT/TB poster would wank over their preferred forum

I post on both forums as it goes* & I still don't see why you have a problem with us discussing both fora (that's the plural of 'forum')

Aside from the recent bitch fight that they had over there, which resulted in some spanners pretending to defect, there haven't been any other threads like this that I remember.





*mainly here, prolific actually, but occasionally there as well usually just to shit stir.

A question for Jeff mainly, but I welcome other views.

I have been a 'founding' member with Jeff, Joe Fox, MK Fox and Homer, since the re-launch in May 2003.

I witnessed the 'carnage' as the kids took their toys they had thrown out of the pram and formed FT!

I have noticed a couple of times over the last few months while the takeover was going on particularly, that if there was 'consultation' from LCFC or the Foxes Trust, it appeared to go there first and then filter across to us.

Obviously this is upsetting, as I feel we are more knowledgeable and have more fun, but deserve to be taken seriously.

Do they have more active members than us or are they just more 'vocal' towards LCFC and the Foxes Trust?

The amount of times the site crashes when three or more people access it is ridiculous.

I guess it simply can't handle all of the Monster Munch polls.

At it's busiest FT gets at least 3 times more visiters than Talking Balls does during the same time, so it is going to crash under that kind of pressure. Unfortunately unlike TB, FT doesn't have the funds available to pay for a top of the range server, but even then we don't place ads all over the place in order to make more money from the site itself.
