Re: Rumours Thread

Hi Lily and welcome

But what about Steve Walsh, Matty Elliott, Neil Lennon, Robbie Savage, Steve Guppy, ...etc. etc. ????

Very true but MON had a knack of getting no-bodies and turning them into internationals. Not many managers can do that. Not Kelly unfortunatly.

Kelly has the knack of turning internationals into nobodies though .......

Re: Rumours Thread

FFS Homer cannot believe you forgot too include legends such as Benji, Akinbadbuy, Lee Marshall and Josh Low to the list !!!

Ah, but it is all about the exercise of judgement - a manager with skill in this area can pick the good players from the lower leagues and make them into great players at a higher level

A shite manager can't - or when he does it's more luck than judgement

Re: Rumours Thread

That was back in the day when we had a decent manager finding the players, but look at what RK found Josh Low!!!!

Good post and that is exactly the type of manager we will need, if we are to be successful with MM's money then we need a manager capable of unearthing gems and a real wheeler / dealer who can build that into a successful side, I am certain Kelly does not fit that criteria

From Sky Sports:

Hawley chase hots up

Skysports.com understands Carlisle ace Karl Hawley could be on the move before the close of the transfer window with several championship sides chasing his signature.

Carlisle are thought to be reluctantly ready to do business for top scorer Hawley this month.

Hawley's current contract expires in the summer and the striker has informed them he will not be signing the new deal on offer at Brunton Park.

Carlisle are now contemplating cashing in on the talented forward rather than risk losing him for nothing at the end of the season.

The news has alerted a number of championship clubs who could make a move for the free-scoring forward.

Ipswich, Norwich and Leicester are all thought to be admirers of Hawley and are weighing up bids for the 24-year-old.

I know it's been mentioned before, but this rumour seems to be getting more coverage than the rest. Maybe some truth to it?

Re: Rumours Thread

Karl Hawley

Carlisle
106 (4) appearance
45 goals

not a bad ratio, still i bet he's crap

Re: Rumours Thread

nothing new still trying to find the rubber stamp for the deal as far as i know :icon_conf :icon_bigg

IMO if this is not rubber stamped before the end of jan we will lose MM and his money

Cheers mate.
