We should not be wasting money on a 25/26 year old who was rejected by Walsall and who has only just started to score recently. Actually, I don't believe we have £500,000 to spend anyway. I don't think Milan would be too impressed if he were asked to fund such a move assuming he takes over.

Most likely Hawley's agent leaking this story in a bid to attract interest from other parties, would be amazed if MM had any involvement in this.

Boss Rob Kelly is waiting on Milan Mandaric's takeover deal to finally go through but already knows who is his top target is.

25-year-old Hawley has been a regular goalscorer since joining Carlisle from Walsall in the summer of 2004 and the step up to League One level this season has not stopped him hitting the target.

Why is it that we always go for players in the lower leagues that can never deliver at a higher level. Very few of them turn out to be any good. If we have money to spend when MM finally comes in lets get someone in with better football ability and scoring power!
