I agree. I'm far from disappointed about signing Upson. We'll need a squad with experienced defenders as they will inevitably pick up cards and be suspended at some point in the season. If we can be hard to score against then we have a good chance of winning enough games to ensure survival.

I'm not entirely sure a 35 year old CB at the end of his career will be hard to score against unfortunately.

Given our pace out wide and up front, I suspect we will play a counter attacking style and our defence will play quite deep. A lack of pace at cb may not be so relevant.
