Time to laugh at Leeds again

If the bloke had any bantz he should have sat and announced Derby's line-up for tonight's game. Disappointed.

I don't like Leeds but I really can't see the problem with this. Overkill in the media. It's good tactics to try and get an edge over your opponents. Nothing wrong at all.

Lampard's reaction has been completely over the top - he's still going on about it after the Cup match yesterday (when, quite frankly, he should have been focusing on an excellent team performance). To me, Bielsa's reputation as an uncoventional genius is only burnished - it's not cricket, certainly, but the meltdown he's induced in the media is porbably only going to bring his squad even closer together

Tbf to Lanpard, I heard a radio interview pre match where he was really pushed about it from the press but refused to discuss it pre match to focus on the match instead.

The press seem to be driving this hype and again, don't really see the issue as no rules broken.

I think it’s great, totally psyched out their promotion rivals and galvanised their fans. I’ll never get the attitude of some in the English game who would rather give an elbow in the face or a two footer to the shin than dive or spy on someone. Shearer, Keown, Souness etc....

I agree. My first reaction to the whole thing was that surely it wasn't the first time it had happened, so I don't think it's surprising to hear that it has been going on all season.

Straight out of the Don Revie playbook, looking forward to them in the Prem next year already..

Don't get me wrong, I like the manager and find it amusing.

However I want nothing more than Leeds to fail to gain promotion again.

I like the manager, but absolutely despise the club.

Having said that, I want them back in the Premier League. Same with Aston Villa, who I also despise.

I know which matches I'd look forward to more out of this lot:

Leicester v Leeds
Leicester v Aston Villa
Leicester v Burnley
Leicester v Huddersfield
Leicester v Cardiff

All this stems from the fact that Lampard is the media's current little darling. He always has been to an extent. It's always baffled me to be honest. To me he's always come across as smug, entitled & self important. If you can stand out with regard to those particular characteristics while being a professional footballer...well, it's a ****ing achievement innit? !! Don't know what the press see in him to be honest.

Plus, yeah. **** all wrong with any of it. Probably been going on since before the game turned professional. Load of non-story bollocks only given any attention because the January window is always boring.

I read a couple of months ago that if they don't go up they will be in serious financial difficulties. Probably time for them to start fixing games again.
