Just got back from picking family up from the city centre.
Very visual increased Police presence.
Hopefully enough to quell any twats ideas of starting touble.

News just in from Melton Road: lots of mayhem; cars blocking junctions with hazards on, pedestrians swiftly moving across the road even while the traffic lights are green, horns blaring, all exits blocked, groups of onlookers...oh wait...everything's fine.

The police say they're monitoring a group of youths in Leicester city centre. A friend of mine says he can hear lots of sirens as well as a helicopter around the city centre. He lives just across from the Curve theatre. Can anybody here back that up?

Leicestershire Police via Twitter are saying that they are engaged with a group responsible for some criminal damage and dispersing others.

Apparently looters were seen running out of the Coventry City trophy room. Police have said that the club will offer a free matchday ticket to anyone who can give them information on the safe return of the Birmingham senior cup, and a season ticket for the missing pot of brasso.
