Would have been nice imo but sky said this at 16:34 on their transfer thingy so seems unlikely.

Crystal Palace winger Jimmy Kebe is set to sign for Leeds United, Sky sources understand. The 29-year-old Mali international is poised to head north from Crystal Palace, where he has made only six Premier League appearances since his summer switch from Reading.

That can't possibly be true based on our most recently published accounts. I accept that we could achieve FFP with the debt wiped out, but there is no chance we could have done so beforehand. Our wage bill was in excess of our entire income last year wasn't it?

Wage bill was £27.7m in 2011/12 season, with a loss of £29.7m on income of £21.4m. This loss includes £3.9m of interest payable (excluding the hire purchase costs).

FFP allows for a loss of £3m, further aided by equity contributions of £5m (which is effectively what the debt write-off is), so totalling £8m.

I doubt our income has changed significantly, so all other things being equal our wages need to drop by £17.8m to £9.9m for 2013/14 (2 seasons).

Simples.

Yes, you´re right fox58 it translates to "buying out the last 6 months of his 3 year contract".
Well found mate:038:
Amount seems to be 500K and bonuses........no problems there then?

Surely the '3' is in that 'he's going to sign a three and a half year contract in the next few hours.

sounds like Mehrez deal has stalled

http://www.francefootball.fr/news/Mahrez-a-leicester-ca-bloque/430427

So he had to engage with Leicester for a period of three and a half years, the midfielder Ryad Le Havre Mahrez has not signed a contract with the Championship club leader. According to our information, the situation is blocked because of a financial disagreement between the two clubs. As a reminder, the 22-year-old is also courted by the Torino in Serie A. ND

Susan Whelan told a forum meeting the club was going to meet FFP long before the debt was wiped out, was she not telling the truth? Maybe she knew about the equity swap in advance but I'm pretty sure no sensible CEO would tell a 'public' forum information about such a massively important piece of business before it was set.

The FCC meeting where this was stated was on Nov 28th, the date of the document of the change of club structure (so loans to equity) was Nov 29th, but did not appear on Companies House until around Dec 16th, so when the statement was made it was clearly already sorted. The timing of all this ties up to the submission of the 2012/13 accounts to the Football League by Dec 1st (for FFP vetting), so would expect the commentary with that submission would refer to the planned loans to equity swap

Mais oui mon ami.....pardon my French:icon_bigg
By the way....anybody see Man C put SIX past West Ham yesterday evening! That´s a total of 11-0 in 2 cup exits! Wonder if Big Fat Sam still reckons his job is safe?
