City's first non-British Manager? Sousa all but confirmed. Good appointment? and in my time we've never had a manager not from these shores, is this our first? http://www.swansea.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=203731

Yeah, except this time make sure our next manager wears contacts. :icon_wink

    Pearson to Hull

Like I said before, the most worrying thing isn't losing Pearson, it's what's going on at the club that has made Hull seem like an attractive option.

Any chance of MON having a huge bust up with Lerner in the next few weeks over Milner going to Man City? :icon_wink

    Pearson to Hull

Not really a step down, but it's surely a step sideways. Teams promoted to the prem have done reasonably well in the last few years and those relegated from the champ have often struggled. People always talk about the gulf between the prem and the champ but is there really a massive difference...

    Pearson to Hull

Unfortunately this appears to be more than rumours. The terms that (fairly) reputable media sources are putting things in make it sound like a done deal. Pearson leaving on it's own, though a massive blow, isn't the end of the world. I'd be less worried if he joined an established Prem team or...

Strikers who leave then score. Plenty.

I'm not sure the problem is quality, more the type of players playing with him, I think playing alongside an out and out defensive midfielder (something we don't have at the club) could give him alot more freedom and really benefit him, a diamond formation with Gallagher King or Oakley -...

    Forest 5-1 City

Went out and got smashed last night, woke up to the score, thought I was seeing things... I always remember Sven saying 'I'd rather lose one game 5-0 than one game 5 games 1-0' when Man City got hammered one time... I think that applies in this case. Shame it had to happen against them, I've got...

    Fryatt to Wigan

OK, Fryatt's never quite done the business for us in the Championship before, but he was never exactly playing week in week out, also you have to remember that pretty much since he joined us we'd been a struggling team who didn't exactly score bagloads. In a good partnership with Howard I think...

The 125 under the badge and the the writing under LOROS, with everything being centralised, just makes it too cluttered... it looks a bit of a mess.

I agree with all you've written, the only thing I wanna add is that ive had forest fans laffing at me all day.

    Megson - BBC

ie If he had got another few wins under his belt it would have been all the more difficult to remove him, no matter how many 'Trust in Milan' articles appeared in the Mercury. I'm not saying he got rid of him because he was successful but that success was less important to him that whatever his...

    Megson - BBC

Well if that happens things have certainly moved on. In the past few years we've only sacked one manager per season, 2 is a massive improvement.
  22. maffyou

    Megson - BBC

Well all the animosity seemed to start when Allen refused to sign JFH, who Mandaric obviously wanted. MA was becoming a presonailty who the fans liked. Maybe obvious wasnt the right word but it seems hard to argue that Mandaric wants long term success for the club when he replaces a popular...

    Megson - BBC

It was looking very promising, we had a manager who looked like he cared and knew what he was doing for the first time since MON. 'Theyre a great bunch of lads' 'We've done well but we can do better' 'We've got to take the positives' 'The system doesnt matter, its the results that count but...

    Megson - BBC

All the bollocks about why MA was sacked just fades away now. Its obvious why he was sacked, he wasnt the nodding dog that Milan 'ive got the money so dont question my decisions' Mandaric wanted. ****in Megson, honestly.

    Te Rah Then...

What is clear is that we have a chairman who feels he should have some sort of say over team affairs, and that cannot be good for the club. The reason people are upset about Allen is because he was like a breath of fresh air at the club, someone with passion and integrity. Milan Mandaric does...

    Get real, please

Absolutely, everyone being linked would be so grateful for the job that theyd do whatever they were told. I'm afraid those people who were apprehensive about Mandaric before he arrived might have been right. No manager worth his salt is going to be told what to do regarding team affairs by his...

You're right, but it just leaves a sour taste, I heard Roy Keane on the radio earlier moaning about the ref in their game, which left me speechless considering a guy who he went to work with day in day out nearly died tonight. Football has taken a back seat to real life tonight and thats given...

Thanks, coming on here has actually restored my faith in football fans a bit, on the way out seeing how some people behaved I was on the verge of just forgetting the whole thing. You're right of course, I thought the fact their manager came out and announced the game was to be abandoned was excellent. Most Leicester and Forest fans have forgotten about petty rivalries but I just cant believe that some people either dont understand the seriousness of whats happened or...

I was in the Forest end, most Forest fans around me applauded in support when the game was called off, a few booed. I was completely ashamed at some of the Leicester fans coming out of the ground singing 'we hate nottingham' some morons need to get some ****in perspective.

If you're from Loughborough, Leicester-Forest is the big rivalry as its about 50-50 fan wise, theres very few Derby fans here.

MA to get the AXE this week!!!!

Whatever Roeder says has to be taken with a pinch of salt, he most probably will never work in football again as hes proved himself to be useless, if he can add fuel to the fire of a story about him being offered a good job it can only be good for him in the long run. Whatever the NOTW has to...

    Allen Rejects Sack Talk

This is the part that makes me think this whole story is bollocks, whatever eles MM is, hes not an idiot, I cant see anyone employing Roeder as a manager again, he's conclusively proved himself useless. The press like a manager-chairman rift story, the only basis of it seems to be what JFH...

    Different Manager, same shit

Nah but theres playing badly and then theres just bad luck. We played well and theres some encouraging signs, we just didnt have the rub of the green. I just wish people wouldnt get so melodramatic about one bad result.

    Different Manager, same shit

I'm sorry, but I just dont get the whole, 'we've had one bad result so lets write off the whole season' mentality. Spurs got beaten by a newly-promoted side today, do you think they're writing off playing in the champions league? I thought the performance was decent and we were unlucky to lose...

    Different Manager, same shit

Couldnt disagree more, we played well today, hit the post twice and their keeper made some excellent saves. With a bit more luck we could have won by 2 or 3. You can't expect miracles straight away but that was a massive improvement on anything I saw last season.
