i hope so. maybe with the money saved from keown off the wage bill someone with some flair, or agression will be brought in, but i am sure that one of the reasons the walkers is so quiet on matchdays is that we don't have an idol to get behind

i agree with you. the championship isn't a great league and its not like we are getting thrashed out of sight. The play offs can be achieved and would be a great day out so i don't think the season is over by any means. i just wish we had a some exciting players to make the games more...

i liked him too! the point remains though, who is the fans favourite now. No-one bows down to williams or stewart when they come across for corners because there just not that good!

For what its worth here is my take on the main problem at the city... I don't like the players in our team, the manager, the coaching staff or the board. I sat there on saturday and monday and went through the team and couldn't find anyone that makes me get out of my seat and get excited...

i was surprised at how low the crowd was for saturday. i thought we had a hard core fan base of 25K not 20 - 21K. that said though, given the fickle nature of the 'floating' fans all it will take is a win or two and a couple of goals from connolly and i's sure we'll be up in the high...

i agree. i think he could be one of our best players this year. i was dissappointed that he wasn't in the side on saturday. maybe as some of you have suggested he's just short of match fitness, he did spend a chunk of the summer recovering from an op?

if you come into pride park from the station side there are a couple of car parks there which are pretty safe. its then about a 15 minutes walk to the ground

i think he will go with blake. was surprised at how long micky left it before bringing him on. wilcox, williams and connolly all looked knackered with ten to go and we could have done with the change.

considering we were up against it for most of the game i thought the atmosphere was good. certainly louder than most of last season. didn't hear any of the foxes trust 'new songs' though?

stewart can be excellent. he has pace and a good shot on him, he just doesn't seem to be developing as a player. he is always prone to mistakes. its a shame because when it works for him he looks fantastic, problem is when it doesn't he looks f*cking awful!

yep, its the squad MA has bought as well. we have cover all over the pitch and the strength in depth is as good as i've seen it for years. if we get the key partnerships working i.e. connelly and dublin, gudjonsen and williams, and keown and dabizas(?) i can't see many teams living with us.

re: grayson goal, it was the thompson one i was thinking about, i think grayson ran past a couple of defenders, it bounced off the keeper and thompson scored????????. top top game

also... winning 3-0 at watford, ormondroyd scored and did this hilarious falling over celebration muzzy's goal against spurs in the cup in front of the kop going absolutely ape when claridge 'shinned it' against palace o'neill's rants and celebrations, he was class in the tv...
