Are stalled contract talks now starting to affect performances on the field?

I disagree. Neither Vokes or Dyer are good enough for the Premiership, and I think that after viewing the impact the player has on a team, although Vokes is having a great season, Dyer's pace (and goals this season) are invaluable in the Championship. There are many players who offer what Vokes does. Dyer is far more unique.

Difference is minimal in value anyway

I did not think there were degrees of uniqueness. Can you also be far more pregnant?

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is, players can only sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside of this country. How many of the those coming to the end of their contract will want to ply their trade abroad?

I'd imagine there is some handwringing amongst the current set of players that we are spending money on new recruits before addressing the contracts of those currently at the club.

Yeah and since the way forward (EPL) is very dependent on having a solid goalkeeper, is anyone else wondering why a GK hasn´t been on our wish list? Maybe ´cos some unofficial, prenuptial deal has already been done with KS?

I am sure this is incorrect. In the last six months of his current contract a player can enter into a pre-contract agreement with any other club at home or abroad.

Ian Stringer on the moan in on Monday claimed he'd been in contact with The FA and he said players whose contracts were due to expire within 6 months could only agree deals with non domestic clubs i.e clubs in Scotland and abroad. It was Stringer though, so who knows?

I don't know the correct answer fwiw.

According to Sky, Forest claim to have a pre-contract agreement with Jack Hobbs. Maybe Hull counts as foreign.

"the Reds claim they have agreed a pre-contract to sign Hobbs permanently when he becomes a free agent this summer."
