i've just been for a beer in the marriott and saw Sven getting out of his car (in tracksuit!!" and asked about Roberts, he just laughed and said its not done yet but as he walked in he turned round and said "we have Vassell though"... so i'm taking it that its a done deal and that was directly from the man himself... Very nice chap..

I believe you, especially as he told BBC sport earlier which is available on the bbc website to listen to. Stringer asks him about Roberts, and Sven says he's one of many as about 50 agents a day are ringing him. But Vassell's signed. I had to rewind it a few times as he says it without taking breath.

I really think if we do sign Vassell he'll be playing right wing rather than up front. He covers well defensively and gives attacking full backs the license to get forward and put crosses in without leaving us exposed, which with Naughton would be a very good thing - he clearly has the ability to be a massive attacking threat.

Hopefully, a useful 'free'.

"A massive attacking threat" ???. Wishful thinking I fear. No evidence in recent times that he is anywhere near on top of his game.

I Think Vassell is a good signing for the championship, either as a winger, or striker. Fitness is the only question for me.

Mate, I ain't really bothered whether you believe it or not.. I do believe I was the one who spoke to him and that's what he said... As I said, I asked about Roberts and he volunteered the info about Vassell.

I was joking ;)

According to SSN Vassell has signed time 6.22 pm. I stress according. Before someone states it as a fact from my post.

I think the only problem would be starting a Confirmed transfer thread based on a SSN report

So has he passed the medical then?

Well, we all know where he was going wrong.

Everywhere by the look of it.

Reading that was painful.

I can think of many people in the world to feel sorry for but professional footballers don't rank among them.

Thrown out of his hotel as the club didnt pay the bill?
References to "cheap hotel rooms" ?

The wording & tone of the article would have you believe that we're talking about some persecuted refugee!

Excuse me...but this is a 30 year old who has been a pro player during the highest earning period in history for footballers & has played most of his career in the Prem for decent sides in addition to having been a full England international.
I'd be amazed if he's ever been on less than 20K PER WEEK since his early twenties...& appreciably more than that at both Villa & Man City when he was a first team regular in his mid twenties. If he hasn't got the cash flow to be able to rent somewhere nice then he's obviously managed to p**s away a hell of a lot of money!

Isolation?
Well...LEARN THE BLOODY LANGUAGE THEN!

I worked in Spain for 2 years & could just about order a beer when i got there.6 months later I could hold a passable conversation.I didnt have the luxury of having a job where I could mope around feeling sorry for myself during vast amounts of free time.
Not many of us have.
Jesus! A little dose of reality every know & then would do these fecking princesses the world of good & make them realise just how cushy they have it.

Obviously though i do appreciate that learning the language of the country you have chosen to live & work in & attempting to communicate & socialise with your workmates would cut into valuable Playstation time so I suppose we should sympathise.

What an immense tit.
