and I am not sure what all of the FT bashing is about.

Maybe some of you know some facts (or have had conversations with FT Board members ) that I have not been privvy to.

What it is about IMO is their communication skills, which to put mildly are lacking slightly!! Although considering some of the shit that gets posted on these boards i'm not surprised there replies to people aren't very respectful.

I would now like to vent the remainder of my spleen at the current board of directors who have made us one of the top 5 most expensive clubs in the country

and just how much have they gained from the gravy train?

They have been a more reliable source of information than some of the "insiders" who kept giving us crap info about the deal being done.

Hmmmm I guess that pretty much sums up their contribution - they didnt give us any info :icon_lol:

what was the point in asking these questions if they were always going to go 'oh OK then'??

Because it is their role to TRY!!!!!!!!!!!

If you don't try you never know do you.

To be honest I think it has been a mistake for them to go round all the message boards replying to questions etc.

Apart from the time it must have taken, it's easy to be misunderstood when you make posts that aren't 100% clear, and if they don't reply to a question immediately they get criticised for it (even if they are at work at the time).

I think it would have been better to respond to questions and give updates directly via their website.

That's something we can all agree on!!!!!! Even when I worked there it was pretty shocking (long time ago).

Agreed, I said as much to them myself.

But it isn't one of the top 5 most expensive clubs in the country. The admin side is allegedly one of the top 5 most expensive as a percentage of turnover which is a lot different. Obviously there has been inefficiency and that needs to be sorted out, but I think some people are assuming our off the field costs rival that of clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool etc, which I'm sure is well wide of the mark.

Foxes Trust said:
Following recent confirmation from the Foxes Trust Board that they had received the relevant paperwork from Leicester City FC regarding the Milan Mandaric takeover bid, the Trust Board has today released the following statement.

The Foxes Trust Board has today signed and submitted to the Leicester City FC Board the irrevocable undertaking documentation to sell its shares to UK Football Investments, LLC (the organisation created by Milan Mandaric to own LCFC).

Trust Board Member Matt Davis commented "Until now the Trust has always stated we were neither for nor against the takeover by Milan Mandaric & wanted to view the final bid detail before making any commitment. At the same time we also wanted to make sure all other options had been fully considered, just as we did when there were rival consortiums seeking to take the club out of administration a few years ago”

"The loss of parachute payments & falling attendances will, inevitably, mean the club urgently needs additional investment to be competitive in the Championship or risk losing our proud record of never being below 2nd tier football."

Chairman Ian Bason stated “We have now concluded the Milan Mandaric bid offers the best short & medium term option for Leicester City Football Club to play competitive football at the highest possible level, in particular his years of experience of running a number of clubs is not matched by the board which has ran the club in recent years”

“In our view the deal proposed by Mandaric is currently the only viable option for taking Leicester City Club forward. Ideally we would have liked to have had assurances on the issues we raised directly with Mandaric's representatives prior to the EGM in November before giving our support. However securing the deal is now of the utmost priority & urge all connected with the club and Mandaric’s representatives (even if the required % of shareholders support is not achieved initially) to ensure this prevails. Following the conclusion of the takeover we will then will be seeking to work closely with Mandaric to resolve the longer term issues we have raised.”
I hope you will be gracious enough to accept my apologies FT. I don't know if you have made a recent U turn or have always held these opinions, but TBH, I don't care. You are supporting the bid 100% and are prepared to sell your shares. For me, this is enough to withdraw much of the criticism I have aimed your way regarding the takeover.

:038: Thanks FT

Webbo... can you lock Meltons account please. I think the FT have hacked into it. :081:

meticulously asking questions that were meticulously left unanswered...

and in the end they did what they thought was best for their club but they were right to push for answers. Its very easy to let ourselves believe that mandaric will give us success but anybody who believes it will be an easy ride is naive to say the least. In 12 months we may be better off or we may be in dire trouble. Anybody with sense would look to the future and would want assurances. Too many people see Mandaric as a quick fix and don't want to look into the possible drawbacks of the bid. I can't believe that people can question the foxes trust. Its like questioning the loyalty of the fans.

because if it all goes tits up at least the FT will be able sleep knowing they tried to get answers, when others joined the Mandaric supporters club as soon as they heard his name.

not questioning them is just like not questioning the loyalty of the fans.
