That's incorrect. The vaccine drastically decreases the chance of hospitalization and death for whoever catches the virus, but the vaccinated are still very much contagious. How much less contagious they are vs the unvaccinated isn't yet clear. All these "studies" showing different things.
Fully vaccinated people are also less likely to contract the coronavirus than unvaccinated people. If they don’t contract an infection, they can’t transmit the virus to others.

Preventative maintenance. His career could be completely ****ed.

Preventative? How about we just cancel life altogether. The chances of anything at all happening to him or any other healthy, non-underlying-issue person are next to nil. His career is considerably more likely to be ****ed by a tackle.

I wouldn't completely trust any of the studies out there either way, so jury is still out for me on this.
So do we just propose mandatory vaccination in the sport so we can lose to Spurs??

I expect this game will be called off when todays testing results come in, other teams are already reporting new cases.

Hopefully sooner rather than later

Still tickets on sale for this. I know people who aren't going this evening despite having tickets. I suspect that there will be several thousand empty seats.

As usual, fans aren't being considered are we? Two patched up teams who don't want to play and we're asked to risk our own wellbeing to see it.

It's a shower of shite isn't it. Won't be long before they're considering PPV again....

Yes, it's just bonkers. As a season ticket holder I'm 50/50 about going right now. Although I've had the booster, I know there will still be hardly anyone wearing a mask at the game and I don't want to catch it.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I can't find anywhere that says if you have had 3 doses of vaccine it will stop you contracting omicron or even reduce your chances of catching it.

All I can see is that it should stop your infection being as severe as it otherwise would have been.

Still not decided about going.

I don't want Covid before xmas and it seems to be ripping through at the minute

About a dozen workmen from the building site near where I live go in the local Co-Op each lunchtime to buy food and drinks. Not one of them wears a mask. They can't all be exempt. Just stupidly think they are too macho to wear one.

Tests must have been done first thing you'd have thought so you'd imagine it's going ahead.
