Mind you...i could quiet go for the Taggart brand of consultancy.Probably along the lines of "my boot will consult your arse if you don't do it the way i told you" Delivered in that N.Irish accent,which is usually enough to scare the shite out of most people

Didn't particularly like him, was underwhelmed when linked with us, but hey, the decision is done now, nothing to be gained from berating him or Milan. same here, he certainly wasnt top of my wish list, and i have doubts over wether he will be the one to tske us back to the premier, but his record if you take away the forest stuff isnt too bad and at the time i think forest were in real financial difficulties so that may have had something to do with it, i,l give him the benifit of the doubt anyways.

he said inthe pc that he didnt take forest down,he couldnt keep them up.
it would have been easier to knit steam than keep that shower up,so why people are using the forest era to sum up his qualities is beyond me.

after listening to the full pc,it has left me more confident than when i had finished listening to ma press conf.milan made a mistake and he knows it with ma,but ma knew how to talk the talk , but couldnt walk the walk when it came to doing his job.

The appointment of Megson shouldn't be a total surprise. According to a Pompey fan, Milan offered him a job down there to replace Tony Pulis but backed out when Megson wouldn't relocate to the South Coast.

I really cant understand why people are having a pop at megson for his bad spell at forest i got moaned at on here the other day for saying jewell was shit at sheff weds which he was and loads of people wanted him.
People are also moaning about him playing negative football and yet loads of you were nearly creaming in your pants the other day at the slightest mention of billy davies as our possible manager may i remind you this was the man who came to struggling leicester last season when his team were battling for promotion and played for a draw!!
Or maybe you wanted roeder who has ruined every football club he has been at!! Or dowie who yes has won promotion ONCE then ****ed it up and ran up north to charlton and was shit!

Listen, don't get me wrong here, I'm not exactly jumping for joy at this appointment.....but, I work in the West Midlands with our office having a large proportion of Baggies fans who ALL think Megson is the dogs doo daas. He is their Lord Gary much like our King Gary.

They are saying that he will get 100% out of everyone at the club and will ship out any who won't or cannot.

He didn't have them playing dazzling Brazilian football but it was not hoofball and was effective. They were always a solid unit that would grind out wins if necessary.

He was not given the backing when they were promoted and despite falling out with the Chairman over this he still got them promoted again.

I don't think we will know what the hell went on at F*r^st but the club was in a real mess (shame) so I'm prepared to wait and see on whether his results there is the norm or a reflection of how fecked up the club was.

Let's give the guy a chance, he has proved he can do the job very effectively and delivered promotion out of this division, twice !

I'm sure if Megson does well there will be the "I wasn't against Megson in the first place" brigade shouting from the rooftops and vice versa.

So, in favour or not:

I will hold my hand up and say now that I am not inspired by this appointment at all and I dont think he has what it takes.

I will happily eat humble pie if this works out but I dont really like what I have seen/heard from the guy in the past. Strikes me as excessively arrogant and pig headed.

I like a manager who is arrogant. Look at Jose calling himself "the speacial one".

wasnt excited by his appointment but and all ways enthusiastic when a new manager comes in.
