But it gets a tad repetitive, I'm sure other chairman don't feel the need to suck up to the fans all the time.

It's not like everyones gonna stop going if Milan doesn't say how wonderful they are

If he shows support to the fans he's wrong, if he doesn't recognise the fans support and important thereof he is wrong. FFS.

Lovely stuff from our beloved leader

Milan Mandaric has slammed the boo boys who have rounded on Leicester City.

The club chairman has suggested they should "take their money to the pub" instead of going to the Walkers Stadium.

Lying one point off an automatic promotion place in League One with a game in hand, and on an eight-game unbeaten run is not, it appears, good enough for some fans who have booed City in the past couple of games.
Along with the rest of the City camp, Mandaric cannot believe even such a small minority should spoil what has been a good start to the season.
While he has every respect and affection for the vast majority of the Blue Army, he is unhappy with those seemingly intent on spoiling things, and said: "I can't believe the negativity of some in the crowd.

"If they are going to be like that, obviously not enjoying the game, they should take their money to the pub instead where they probably will enjoy themselves.
"We have just started the season, have lost just one game in 12 league matches and are well placed in the table.
"This young team needs encouragement from everyone who is a real supporter.
"We have a good team, a good manager and most of the fans are happy. Why anyone wants to take that away is something I just don't understand. The crowd can be a key member of success but they can also be a key member the other way as well.
"I really respect the fact that we will have a great following at Brighton tonight from people who have travelled for three or more hours, and then have to be back for work the next day. But those who seem to want to spoil what has been such a good start, I just don't understand it."

City go to Brighton knowing victory would be the perfect answer to those starting to doubt the team.

Manager Nigel Pearson said: "There will always be questions asked when you don't produce the goods, so we take it on the chin and move on. The only way to stop people questioning us is by producing wins, and that is what we will be striving to do at Brighton."

Former City boss Micky Adams, now at Brighton, said: "Night games at the Withdean Stadium are special and, as we are facing one of the fancied teams, we will definitely be up for it."

There is definitely a place for booing in football, it is our right as paying supporters

And that right should certainly be exercised by our travelling supporters this evening, in respect of a certain Mr R. Savage esq.

Why ?

Completely agreed.

In fact, is there anyone on here who did boo? If so, why?

This is really starting to wind me up now.

What the feck is wrong with booing? To listen to Mad Mandy, Ashley Cole and the like, it's as if we're stealing the poor little lambs souls or something. How dare professional people be so pathetic as to claim to fall apart from being boo'd. If someone plays like a prick, or makes a complete mess of a chance, or fumbles a shot etc - that person deserves stick. Booing is a very mild form of stick and it's been an integral part of the game since crowds started turning up.

Feck the watered down footy experience that those in the game want. Supporters ARE the game. We fund the whole fecking lot of it and we have every right to say whatever we want.

It is complete and utter rot to suggest that booing means someone is not a supporter or not as good a supporter as one who keeps their mouth shut. To me, at least someone who boo's cares. Which is more than can be said for those who blindly accept whatever the professionals deem to be an acceptable performance.

It makes my blood boil to hear some 5 minute owner whose money-making plans have gone tits up, and who is systematically plunging this club into horrfiying amounts of debt, tell me to stay in the pub rather than come to a game if I'm not going to clap along with Chelsea Dagger and go 'chin up' when one of our gutless brigade fecks it up once again.

Feck off, you pathetic c*** Mandaric.

Does that answer your question as to why people boo?

What is your job Brown Nose?

If you don't applaud politely, sit down for the whole match, and dance to along to Chelsea Dagger then you are not a true fan

Every time you boo, a little puppy has its legs pulled off

My issue with the booing is the effect on a team currently 4th attempting to win promotion. Nothing to do with fans exercising their rights...they will be exercising their rights to celebrate if we win the league. Any harsh criticism will counteract against the fans.

As a football supporter, have you checked the definition of 'support' lately?
