I would say that Fuch's at his best remains a better player than Chilwell at his best. Chilwell makes too many defensive errors.

However, if we were to play wing backs, I'd pick Chilwell over Fuchs every time.
Fuchs rarely reaches anywhere near his best anymore, fact is he should have been dropped halfway through last season when he was playing about as crap as Mahrez was

A happy Fuchs is a good player. The Fuchs we had to endure until Claudio was sacked was beyond awful. McGivern would have been an improvement. The transformation after that was actually infuriating. Definitely one of what many would refer to as snakes...sooner he leaves the better IMO.

What does that even mean?

I don't mean the apostrophe bit that's the grammar police or CF to get bizarre about.

Do you mean Fuchs now compared to chilwell now or do you mean to compare the 2 or 3 Fuchs long throws with the 2 or 3 Chilwell forward runs? Or are you talking about defence. You may be at every game but if you haven't seen the many defensive errors Fuchs makes in every game then you aren't watching him, maybe you're watching the 3 defenders following Mahrez all over the pitch which the TV cameras don't pick up.

I love Fuchs and going forward, his passing and his long throws are still of high quality but he's a defensive liability who tends to jump in all too often because he knows he doesn't have the legs to stay with youthful attackers and wing men anymore.

I think one more signing will be enough for now, i hope its the man city guy (Im reluctant to try to spell his name!) Fitz and others have touched on the important point, and that is the players (and possibly management), snakes, poison, etc that caused such upheaval last season. Im sure nobody really knows the true culprits, but I hope this is now consigned to history. If not I fear whoever we sign will be destined to fail, and we will be in for another struggle. The potentially good point is that the new signings seem to be strong characters. Players clearly not commited to the club should have their reasons, grievences fully investigated, and both (the player and their grievance) should be dealt with accordingly.

We still need another CB and an RB and a replacement for Okazaki.

I'm happy with CB options. Would like a young right back to take over eventually/backup Simpson.

Siggy type player would be great. But I think alot of people in the thread underestimate the impact Okazaki has.
I think you confuse quantity of anti-Okazaki posts (many), with quantity of people posting anti-Okazaki posts (1).

I think to introduce five new players will be too much, especially as most of last years signings were not really given a chance. Give the existing squad a chance, I think its good enough, including Okazaki, Armartey, Mende, Slimani, Simpson, Chillwell, Gray, Musa ( cant be bothered to check their spelling and may have missed someone) However we do need a bit of a clear out to release funds and places for new targets which I think would be better in January or next July. I accept that some players due to their age and fitness are perhaps not now up to premier league level. We need a management with a short, medium and dare I say it a long term strategy, and an angle on team dynamics. Ok lets look for another CB that will fit in to our new squad for next season and a RB if we think its necessary, or any other position that is found to be wanting. Concentrating effort and resources on specific positions throughout the coming season should enable us to checkout and target players who we could hopefully attract to the club at an appropriate time.

Mate use paragraphs your posts are an effort to read at that length

I do not really like criticising posters but skitzo has a point. I skimmed straight over your post which I'm sure contains many valid points.

You can"t count Bla. There are more than just me hoping that we don't go into this season with Okazaki starting for us. It's not anti-okazaki it's wanting the club to strenghten its weaknesses. I understand and accept your stance and others that you want to keep the team who won the title (minus Kanté) and play them week in week out. I'd have thought someone as open-minded as you would accept that others think differently and allow them to state it without your bitchiness.

People who watch the games on TV see things differently to those who attend matches

People who watch the games on TV see things differently to those who attend matches

Of course they do. People at matches have only one pair of eyes and a limited view. Of course thay can follow Okazaki all over the park for the entire game but if they do they don't see the rest that is happening. I always find it funny when people who go to "EVERY Match" think they are somehow superior watchers of the game. Anyone would think that those of us who no longer live in Leicester have never been to a match in our lives and don't know both the strengths and weaknesses of watching games live and watching them on TV.

Even more bizarre is that so many posters seem unable to accept others view players and games different to them. It's as if they only have the correct opiniuon and view. These type of posters are complete morons. Why they can't accept others views whilst not agreing shows an amazing small mindedness, the type of small mindedness seen in racist, sexism, homophobism. They ought to open their minds to other's views whilst being strong enough to disagree with them.

So what if I and others think we need to upgrade Okazaki or that Chilwell and Gray are good enough to start in the City team. You don't have to agree, I can understand you not agreeing but it'd be nice if you could be open-minded enough to let us have our say without the continual nasty put down comments.

I watched every home game in the flesh, I watched 90% of away games on Kodi.

There is absolutely no doubt which medium gave me a far superior view of the overall game and it's events.

There really is no substitute to seeing the game live. Very often I have watched a game after seeing it in person, and the most influential actions are missed on TV.

Such as runs off the ball to create space for someone else.

Closing down players that don't have the ball to limit the opposition's options.

Tracking a runner to allow a defender to take up a better position.

All of the above are often missed on TV, and happen to be Okazaki's strong points.
