Yep, sometimes time is more valuable than money

about 40 years ago I shared a house with half a dozen others guys and we used to chuck all the odd pennies from the kitty (old heavy ones) in a bucket to save up for a treat.

By the time we got to £3 (at 240 pennies to the pound) they weighed a ton. Took them round several shops who refused to accept them so we decided to but stamps from a stamp machine. We had got about half way through when we noticed we were surrounded by half the Manchester Constabulary responding to a report of a post office raid.

Threatened to do us for wasting police time. Cheeky sods

Plastic armchair "supporters". They crawl out of the woodwork every major tournament, claiming to be the biggest England fan ever, yet they've never been to a game in their entire life. You find them cluttering up the pubs when the games are on screaming "offside" whenever the ball goes out for a throw in. They think they know everything about the game because they have read David Beckham's biography. These people are a scourge to society and should be exterminated.

I've never had the chance.

I was going to go to the Northern Ireland at Old Trafford but I was on holiday, and I was ill at the time of the Serbia match so I couldnt go to that either.

I've only been to two.

England v Brasil

England v Holland

Both at Wembley

watching England live just doesn't appeal to me.
I saw England v switzerland, but give me Leicester any day!

Any football match, including watching your mates kick a ball around the local park.

Been to hundreds of footy matches, just never been to an England match. :icon_wink

I agree MK. It is very rare you can get to see England in a competitive match. Both the ones I went to were as a kid and friendlies (although Brasil was called the Rous Cup). It just don't float me boat. 9 times out of 10, I can't even be bothered to watch the friendlies on the tele

Same here, they just dont interest me, maybe they will be differnet under mclaren but I doubt it.

The CSA
Even though I have my children staying with me for 50% of the time, I buy all of their clothes, supply pocket money and I am the only one to take them on holiday etc the CSA want me to pay £70 a week towards their upkeep??

I felt slightly miffed by this and asked what would happen if I packed in work, well if I claimed benefit I would not have to pay anything!! This is madness.

Anyway got that off my chest, roll on the world cup.
