In all seriousness YV, you can call BT and they can put a block on these numbers. A lot of telesales companies use an automated dialling system which basically means when you pick up the phone there isn't actually anyone there as they are tied up on another call.
Also companies that are chasing money (such as a credit card company where you may only be 50 pence over your credit limit) are not allowed to leave a message...bascally they are nearly always shit calls!

weve been registered on the TPS (which hasnt really stopped these sort of calls) for a good while now and were ex-directory not that that has helped in this instance i know, it wont be companies chasing money as we dont owe any to anyone
