The simpering "news" coverage, the pathetic floods of tears, the imbecilic idea that an actor can be "best" - anything and everything to do with the Oscars and anybody who feels it is in any way important or interesting. I'm barely awake and yet raging at the stupid ****ing television and its cocked up idea of what constitutes news these days.

I remember a time when journalists valued their profession and saw it as a way to hold society to account and be agents of change. Now they just celebrate everything vapid in life.
