Our style recently has been more reliant on Wood's passing and vision rather than simply his height, something I've yet to see from Futacs.

In the few opportunities that Futacs has had to play he has shown decent strength and technical ability, similar to Wood but obviously not as good, certainly hasn't looked like the type just used for flick ons because of his height. He's had a very few opportunities because Vardy has played so much (with IMO limited effect).

I'm sure some fans occasionally get caught up in over zealous policing, but my experiences of fans getting in trouble has always been the same as this Drew. It's the same with the guy who got evicted for throwing a roll of sandwich bags. If you don't act like a twat, I've found that people rarely treat you like one.

I've found that although imbeciles baiting the police don't help matters, it is irrelevant as to how you act because they are so on edge. As I said a few days ago, I was attacked by a police dog. It was launched at me because I was politely refusing to get on a train to Leeds because I wanted to get on a train to Kettering.

The police, when trying to control crowds, invariably act like a bunch of thuggish ****s. They drop all pretense of civility and respect, resorting to barking orders which must be obeyed.

I don't act like a twat at football matches, 90% of supporters don't, and so I resent that they treat every fan as if they had the potential to suddenly start acting like one.

Ive never been treated like that though by the police at a football match. I have by other fans though.

It's not as bad these days, but if you were an away fan in the eighties, particularly if you travelled by train, the police generally assumed you were a hooligan and treated you like shit.
Even relatively recently I've seen a fan treated badly by the police for trying to get a taxi from the station to the ground (to make sure he got there for kick off), rather than walk with the police escort.

Im sure it was horrible back then and may still be now. I don't travel to many away games but those that i have have been policed well in my personal experiences.

On a side note, apparently Peteborough sold too many tickets for the match and had to cram people in before turning them away? If true, it's not the best advert for standing terraces.

I don't tend to go away other than for local games. I had been to London Road before but never to stand. I felt unsafe yesterday and was alarmed when the announcer asked us to move forwards to allow more fans in. I already couldn't raise my arms. There would never have been a Hillsborough-type scenario because we weren't penned in but the experience was unnerving enough that I won't be going back to the terrace there.

As for the police; they seemed fine. Some of our fans were behaving pretty badly though and made me feel less than comfortable on the train home. They weren't just drunk but behaving quite aggressively towards Leicester fans who were nothing to do with them. On the way there it was completely different. A bit loud and sweary, certainly, but harmless and jovial.

My main gripe was the holding of the train for over 50 minutes just so the Police could stand on the platform and evict about 3 people.

Then when things seemed to start calming down they supposedly broke out the camera and starting filming everyone, further delaying the train.

Plenty of people missed connections and were late for lifts because they were so horrific at dealing with the problem.

Which train was this? I got the 1752 and whilst we were delayed a bit at Stamford it was for no more than ten minutes.

There was some advice given at Peterborough station that people shouldn't wait for that train and catch one to Liverpool (to change at Nottingham) instead. I decided against because that one would arrive in Leicester half an hour after the one I had booked a seat on. Whilst on the train the idiots I was surrounded by made me wish I'd got on the Liverpool one. It sounds like I might have had a lucky escape.

The 6:52pm train was held at Stamford, we were in Carriage A where there was a fair bit of trouble, not to mention the shit some wankers decided to give to my wife who was already on edge. These ****ing kids wouldn't dream of behaving like that when they're on their own, moronic mob mentality, showing off to their peers.

We won't be going to away games on the train again, I doubt if my wife will even go to another away match again which is a shame.

I didn't have the same misfortune as you on the train but, as with Peterborough's terrace, I decided quickly that I wouldn't be doing things that way again. My next away will be either Derby or Barnsley and I'll be going by coach. Shame, really. The journey there was good fun.

I was also a bit annoyed by how crowded the trains got. Surely there is some way of controlling numbers? People were packed on to the thing and in the unilkely event that something went badly wrong there could have been hundreds injured or worse. Letting only those with booked seats on to the train would be the way to go but I wouldn't envy the people tasked with turning neandertals away in that case.

its always the case to local ones. Herded like cattle, surrounded by tons of numpties. I went Pboro on the train 3 years ago, totally chaotic with train journeys disappearing and delays galore. In the same sense, Brum was similar this season and we ended up waiting 90 minutes behind to get on a half full train.

In the few opportunities that Futacs has had to play he has shown decent strength and technical ability, similar to Wood

Against Burton, he was cumbersome for me. But tis a baffling situation just like Schlupp being on trial for so long.

I'm surprised you haven't had one occasion where you've been told by a copper; designated pub or police escort to the ground. Every local game the coppers display a clear lack of communication with the relevant travel authorities and fans.

I believe most of the kids and elderly folk were told to go in the buffer between the terrace and the pitch. £20 for that hut. If standing terraces come back, it will be a lot more forward thinking than that.

King had a good game against Wolves so deserved to start. I've seen nothing from Futacs to show me he is any better than Waghorn or Vardy. The team selection made perfect sense to me. What staggers me is that you seem to think he shouldn't prefer players that he thinks add more to the team?

What baffled me is as to why he replaced Vardy with Waghorn. I said to my dad at the time of the substitution, why has he replaced him with the same player? If you're going to make a change, at least make a change to differ the style of the play, after all, that's why you make changes, isn't it? With bringing Waghorn on, effectively it changed absolutely nothing, apart from maybe bringing on someone with a worse finishing rate. At the time we were 1-0 up, and pretty much in no danger. Bringing Funcats on would maybe have brought a slower tempo to gain a better control over the game. From what I've seen of Funcats, he holds the ball up well and has a good finish. If Nige had introduced Futacs, he would have possibly allowed Nuge to not have to do all the work up front, and introduced more players in the game. I wasn't surprised to see Vardy starting with Wood injured, but that change was silly IMO.

We had an escort at Peterborough in the L1 season but all the cops were fine and we had a good conversation with 2 of them on the way to the ground.

A large section of our fans, however, were complete cocks in the designated bar; throwing glasses around, breaking tables etc.
