I'd be interested to know where the assertion that he's a Sheffield Wednesday fan comes from. Isn't he from Nottingham?

He seems like an intelligent bloke, so that would rule out supporting the dirty F****t.

I may be way off on the Sheff Weds thing. For some reason I thought he was, but may have that wrong.

Having brought in the statisticians with my comment about the size of Leicester as a city can I go back to my original point which is that Leicester has been as much a First Division (Premiership Club) as a Second Division (Championship) one.
When Leicester were relegated under Frank O'Farrell they had been in the top division for eleven years, Frank McLintock (the end of the Bloomfield era) about eight years and under Dave Bassett (the end of the O'Neill era) for about seven years. We also had short spells in the top division under managers like Brian Little and Micky Adams.

My point is not not we have a right to be in the Prem - no club has that - but that we should not think of mid-table in the Championship as success.

Hmm, i really dont see what the size of Leicester has to do with where we should sit within the divisions, let alone the likelihood of Pearson leaving us for Southampton.

Southampton are in a similar boat to the one we found ourselves in a while back, however, their playing demise has collided with their financial turmoil, and I will be very very surprised if they manage to get out of league 1 next season.

MM will not allow Pearson to leave this summer and Pearson would seem to be astute enough to realise the opportunity he has with our club.

I do feel however this thread is crying out for a comment by none other than Fantasy Fox....where are:102: you?

Alan Irvine turns down the opportunity to become WBA new manager. Do you think they would consider Pearson ??

Has Pearson gone yet? :icon_roll

MK Dons have the worst luck, feel sorry for them, they now have lost a manager each summer for 3 seasons!!

Nothing compared to losing your football team.

The lack of a "big" signing is leading me to wonder whether Milan thinks that Pearson may not be here come the big kick off.
I know that there is still plenty of time before the season begins and, I accept that at this time last season, we had not made our major signings but, there are differences this time: we have an established manager and we were amongst the first teams to know our fate last season.
In those circumstances, I would have expected us to be amongst the first to get a Milan type signing (I suspect that he doesn't count free transfers as the real thing!)
Hope this is pessimistic drivel - and, not just run of the mill drivel!

He learned his lesson on big money deals with DJ. I hope.
