Musa shouldn't be in the team, but think he could still come good.

I just have no idea why he's being picked when Gray is our most on form player right now. And if he left Gray out because he wanted more workrate, I don't think Musa gives that anyway and we'd have been better with Shinji

Having watched from the local last night, I was delighted with the result but our back four was shocking and not until the last 20 minutes did we finally get to grips with there midfield, the addition of Gray made a major difference in attack and we looked a better unit, a big thanks to Schmichael for a great display. Finally I hope all who went have returned safely

I think the last 20 minutes re-affirmed that we are a team that needs to attack. All season we've sat back defending with the aim of striking on the counter. We can't do that. Just like during the great escape, our only chance is to attack. Use our speed and skill and take the game to the opponents. It's the same when we don't have the ball we need to attack the player with the ball and the players he can get it to.

Enough of the boring, trying to hold out. Take the game to the opposition and use our strengths.

This is the problem all of us armchair managers, we want it all!

So lots of people came on here saying we write these last 2 CL games off and save our best players for the Premier League, where we need our strongest team.

So Ranieri sends out the 'old guard', who despite a truly awful first half, in terms of skill and class, not effort, pull out a most improbable result when the 'Class of 2016' turn up for the second half.

So the moaners are now up in arms saying why didn't Ranieri start our strongest team with Gray etc., so we could have had a chance of winning against Savilla!

A PhD in hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Ranieri knows we will not be travelling this Champions League road again any time soon, so has to balance having a crack at it with an outside chance of progression, and simply capitulating and sending in the kids to get slaughtered so he has his strongest team available for Liverpool.

The fact that he probably did rest a couple of key players also suggests he has not capitulated against top 6 PL teams either and will look to try and win this next game.

Musa was so poor at times that you thought that there must be something else at play; either he's lost confidence, or unsure of his role... I dunno, but something. Because it's inconceivable that a club would pay so much for someone so technically limited, no? Due diligence and all that. We were after Musa for some time too. If he really was rubbish, somebody somewhere would have seen it at sometime... or am I being naive?

I dunno what the problem is but I feel he'll come right.

I think he was brought in with an eye to Vardy leaving. He has Vardy's pace and a better goal scoring pedigree. I think he needs to be played down the middle and told to run his bollocks off and to go for goal. Having said that Vardy hasn't left and we've got Gray and Slimani who are significantly better than both.

48 goals in 82 games in 3 years for Sporting oh and 25 goals in 49 games for Algeria also.

Vardy got 5 goals the season before last and it very much looks like last season was an outlier

He was talking about Musa.

Well that was an interesting landing back at Stansted :104:
We had that when we landed at Gibraltar on Monday blown all over the place only landed at 2nd attempt then all later flights were diverted to Malaga

There was another flight from Seville to Stansted an hour after ours. Just heard that one had two aborted landings and then diverted to Birmingham!

ah ok I miss read the quote.
Musa played wide left of a front 3 for CSKA a position we have never used him in, I think much like Vardy's first season he is struggling to adapt but could become a fine signing for us next season

Eh? On what grounds?

Musa scored 42 goals in 125 appearances for CSKA Moscow before joining us. That includes playing in the champion's league and scoring - not to mention he also played international football and scored goals.

Jamie vardy played non-league football before playing for us.

I'd like to think that gives Musa a better pedigree.

FYI Jamie managed 20 goals in about 63 games for us in the championship and then 5 in 34 prem games his first season with us. Musa has scored 2 in 14 in the prem without the practice in the championship (which is about the same strike-rate).

Stats mean jack shit

Utterly meaningless twaddle

He was feckin' hopeless last night, and not for the first time

He shouldn't be anywhere near that squad, let alone the sartng eleven

So goals scored mean shit. Really homer have a word with yourself.

The comparison was with Vardy. If you forget last season he has been far shitter.

BIB: all comments that were said about Vardy in his first season

I believe what I see with my eyes right now, rather than meaningless stats over a number of years

Maybe we should look at what post match player ratings he got at Moscow from bedwetting fanboys ?

Absolute drivel
