More boring wildlife from me... not the greatest photos, but a pretty impressive sight all the same - a Golden Eagle and a Red-tailed Hawk having a fight, something I saw on another of my wildlife surveys.

Anyhoo, who won the fight?

The hawk did, as usual. It was really pissed off. The eagles are so big and laid back, you could just see him going aw, feck off, leave it out, I'm just flying over. The eagle is no direct threat to the hawk, but I suppose they compete for rabbits, which would be the biggest thing a hawk would go for and one of the smallest things an eagle would go for. I'd love to see an eagle take a young deer, as they sometimes do. I can hardly even imagine it, must be amazing.

I've had the chance to take loads of wildlife photos in the past couple of weeks, you'll be delighted to hear. More to come when I've finally sorted them all out, but for now here's a rather cute Burrowing Owl..
