Do loan players have the same level of commitment as permanent players? Do they share the same team bond/ethos? Did Powell not get a look in because of a possible training pitch attitude problem?
 
Is that a loan problem or a Powell problem though - there have been suggestions of attitude problems from within his parent club too.

I don't see the difference between a loan and a signing with a relegation release clause to be honest. Both a risk.

Good job we didnt spend £9m on David McGoldrick. He looks off the pace against southampton and has a bad touch/vision.
 
Okazaki rumours continue to grow, apparantly some German newspapers are reporting that a fee has been agreed, if true shame hes currently unavailable to play for us as he is playing for Japan in the Asian Cup

I don't really get this link, we are desperate for players who can hit the ground running and this guy doesn't seem to fit the bill.

Scott Sinclair, Taylor from Swansea, there are Premier League players available but we seem to be buying obscure foreigners.

Fits in nicely with Pearson continually bringing on an inexperienced kid from the bench rather than a Premier League experienced winger.

I've often thought we should get Scott Sinclair on loan too, but I doubt it's going to happen. After all, if he could rediscover the form of the 11/12 season he'd be a great asset.
