Undersized toasters/oversized bread.

Why the hell do they compete against each other? The majority of bread nowadays is too big to fit in a standard toaster vertically. Horizontally can also be a struggle.

Surely the two industries would be 'in sync'?!?!?!?

Bread made in Britain, toasters made in China is probably why they aren't in sync. But this is really starting to **** me off, too, now that our old toaster died and it seems impossible to find a toaster that can actually toast a slice of farmhouse bread, home-sliced, bought from the bakers.

Reckon I'll be down John Lewis on Sunday, with a slice of bread, just to see if it'll fit in the toaster. And knowing just how sad that is, that ****s me off even more.

Yes I know, problem is I mainly develop internal corporate tools and the majority of the PCs in use are Win 2k which means IE6 is the baseline and will be for the foreseeable future.
