    Sheff. Wed. team

I think the comment "one for the future" might have been a bit of a smokescreen by CL. Wee Joe is 21 and made over 90 appearances for Hearts. Last season he played in over 40 games, including appearances in the UEFA Cup against Braga, Schalke 04, Feyenoord, Ferencvaros and Basle.

homer's 'he could do a job' summer targets thread....

Hartley has just signed a new 3 year deal with Hearts so I truly doubt he will sign for Leicester. Boyd is now apparently a signing target for Rangers so if this part is true it would be a choice between Champions League football or plain old Championship football. hibs are however keen to...

Joe Hamill Signs with Leicester City

We've only signed one left-sided midfielder (and even then he is only on a season loan) and to say that Joe lost the plot after CL left is a bit strange, as I doubt he ever knew the plot in the first place! George Burley has stated that the opportunities for Joe would be limited this season...

Joe Hamill - Signed From Hearts

Probably a 5 (with the wind behind him!)

Joe Hamill - Signed From Hearts

Wee Joe has talent that is not in doubt, when we signed him as a youngster we apparently beat a host of top clubs to get him. What he lacks is confidence and pace, he is also very quiet on the pitch in fact he is almost timid. If he does sign for you I wish him all the best but I doubt he...

Joe Hamill - Signed From Hearts

If you sign him you will end up with even less pace down the left.

Joe Hamill - Signed From Hearts

He was only offered a one year deal as we didn't have a manager at the time, the new manager has come in and added players to the squad and I reckon that wee Joe doesn't fit into Burleys plans.

homer's 'he could do a job' summer targets thread....

I wasn't at the game but at a guess it would be Lee Wallace who played 17 games at left-back for us last season. He's coming up for 18 years old and has just signed a new deal till 2008 so he would cost you something, unless we could get Maybury back in a straight swap!

    Dirty Leicester?

In that case, should you not be really worried that your manager has signed 6 players from the SPL including two apparently not deemed good enough for Celtic?
  12. zorg1874

    Dirty Leicester?

At least you only have to play them once in a pre-season friendly, Hearts will have to play them four times this season. As for the original quote about Agathe being on the receiving end of a bad challenge from Andy Webster, he forgot to mention that they got a penalty and Webster was...

Celtic Team News / Match thread

McGeadys 'Irish' and just another one of Celtics latest wonderkids that get hyped up by the old firm loving press in Scotland. After two seasons at Celtic where they fail to make any real impact and only feature in CIS cup ties they get sold to a Championship team in England and because they...

    Where will Gerrbrand play?

Levein tried Kisnorbo at left-back for Hearts and it wasn't a great success, in fact he then converted Maybury to play left-back as it was a problem area for us at the time. He had also tried him at centre half for a couple of games and again he wasn't a great success. I think it's fair to...

    Burley sacked

Burley has just been announced as the new manager at Hearts.
  16. zorg1874

    Craig Gordan

He's also been mentioned as a potential signing at Hearts as back-up to Gordon. (We've just released Tepi Moilanan). Most feedback I've heard about him is that he is a decent shot-stopper. As to whether or not CL would like to sign Craig Gordon, I'm pretty sure that he would, the transfer...

    Celtic at Home

You should think yourself lucky we get 3,500 of them 'visiting' us twice a season. Plus we get a further 3,500 pissed weegies singing anti-IRA and pro-England songs twice a season as well. :-(

    TEAM SO FAR FORNEXT SEASON

Pretty much spot-on, the only point that I would not agree with is that I doubt (Rangers apart) that any other SPL club could match what Douglas will be getting paid at Parkhead. I do think Douglas would be a good signing for yourselves and it should be remembered that most keepers are prone...

    Levein!

There were similar rumours when he was in charge at Tynecastle but the only thing that was reported that could be classed as anything near to bullying would be the following. A couple of the younger players (Graeme Weir & Neil Janckyz) had been caught playing golf on a day-off when they...

Old News Kisnorbo debut 03 - For MDV & Kisnorbo knockers

Myself and a few other Hearts fans that post on here have not helped matters as we have not been complimentary towards Skippy. You never know he might flourish with yourselves if given a run in the team in a settled position.
  23. zorg1874

    captain courageous

Maybury was our 'vice-captain' under CL and always stood in if Pressley was unavailable. Do you think he might get the captains role with yourselves?

    jam foxes

You're half right and once you've seen Skippy play next season you'll start to come round to my way of thinking about who has been dumped on!!

    jam foxes

Personally, I prefer to think of Leicester as our dumping ground. ;-)

    Hartley, Pressley and Thorarinsson latest

The one thing I'll grant you is that he is athletic. As for not being the most naturally gifted that is a massive understatement, when he attempts to trap a ball it ends up further than I can kick it. :D Not a hint of jealousy on my part either. ;-)

Who stays, Who goes, Who comes in?

If it makes you feel any better there are players much worse than MDV and Kisnorbo still at Tynecastle. (For the record Simmons, Weir & Jancyz to name just three) If CL makes any move to sign any of them, then heaven help you.
  28. zorg1874

Who stays, Who goes, Who comes in?

Slightly crossed wires here Alex, to clarify here is my opinion of Kisnorbo - A headless chicken who struggles to control the ball and never manages to pass it to his own team mate.
  29. zorg1874

Who stays, Who goes, Who comes in?

What job does Gudjonsson do? Is it a headless chicken role where he struggles to control the ball and never manages to pass it to his own team mate? For anyone who reckons MDV has been a bad signing by Levein, you ain't seen nothing yet. Mind you I still think you got a bargain only paying...

    Harry Potter Magic

Not quite, it was 'witty' hibs fans that first called him that. Don't ask what some Hearts fans call him now though.
  31. zorg1874

    Calling Hearts Fans

We will definetly miss Maybury, MDV has been non-effective this season (Braga in the UEFA Cup apart) and Kisnorbo we won't miss in the slightest. As has been mentioned before, I'd like to see Craig Gordon, Andy Webster & Paul Hartley stay, they are all first team regulars. You also ask...

  33. zorg1874

    Patrick Kisnorbo

I take it you don't rate him then? Trust me he is probably better than Scott Gemmill or Joey Gudjonnson. So, is he any good? Do you think he'd be able to do a job for us? He's not the biggest waste of a shirt in our current squad (step forward Graeme Weir, Jamie McAllister or Stephen...

    Patrick Kisnorbo

Quite a few Hearts fans are hoping this is true. Not sure what his exact position is he mainly "plays" in midfield for us. I think when he first signed for us he was touted as being a centre-half.
