Re: Matty Fryatt

aren't most 'good matchday atmospheres' predominantly fuelled by moronic chanting?

Would you include the 'Town full of Pakis' chant as being conducive to a "good matchday atmosphere"?

Moron.

Re: Matty Fryatt

What sort of educated middle class songs are we suggesting then? How do we intend to linguistically undermine Forest? Will that get the boys singing? Or is it just that there are too many middle class, toffee nosed, stuck up arse-heads pontificating over matches at the Walkers as opposed to actually generating an atmosphere?

I've lived in Madrid and Milan and going to a good few matches there. I can assure you that intellect and invention doesn't come into a good atmosphere. Those who do think this, really, truly, should just go away. And then we might actually have an atmosphere.

I honestly think the demand for success - which actually went into overdrive when fans spat at Little in 94 or called for O'Neill's head in 96 - was a major part of our mid-90s heyday. And a rabid atmosphere home and away is exactly what a good team needs.

Yes, it actually is conducive to an atmosphere. It's wrong, I disagree with it and I haven't heard it for many years, but yes it makes noise. What I don't like is that you are trying to align anti-Forest chants with racist attacks and, somehow, have suggested that I am in favour of them. My mother happens to be a 'Paki', albeit one who married a good old purestrain. But thanks for the insinuation.

Would I be right in guessing that you are exactly the sort of person who reads racism into everything someone says, whether or not there's the slightest hint of it in what someone says? (No need to wait for an answer. Yes you are. T**t).

Re: Matty Fryatt

What a load of bollocks.

We don't need racist chants or chants in support of other clubs whose fans actually hate us to create a good atmosphere.

What would help is if those fans doing their best to create summat were singing off the same hymn sheet(as it were) instead of a minority singing summat which no one else has any fecking clue what they are going on about- but I spose you have to be in the clique to know what it is.

Oh yeah, and that Abe song about eating your dog?

It's just shit.

Tonight showed that despite the farce we were watching, a good atmosphere CAN be done, especially when you can make a joke out of what you are watching.

Blue Maniac - absolute moron.
Cheers Syd. When someone like you calls me something like that I feel a little better about myself.
But, happily, this response is a good example of everything wrong with the attitude of people on this forum. No effort at a constructive argument, just blind hatred of other City fans.
This is an argument we've had dozens of times. It's nothing to do with blind hatred; you've just made that up.
We hate fans singing about this, you should be singing about that, stand up for the stewards they're alright - what are YOU actually trying to say?! Don't dismiss an argument simply because you don't have the mental capacity to dismantle it.
I don't wish to suck on my own sausage but I could comfortably dismantle any argument a mentally subnormal person could put forward on more or less any subject.
I'll repeat it, too many people at Leicester games spend too much time being negative towards the nature of the noise that's generated. You've demonstrated that.
Have I?
That contributes towards making people be quiet. And that isn't good for the atmosphere.
No it doesn't. I've told you what the problem is, but you're sticking to your own made-up shit. It's not worth talking to you really.
I've seen City fans being told to be quiet by stewards.
Have you?
I've seen fans asking people to shut up, not because they disagree with anything, just because they're being a bit too noisy.
Nope, I don't believe any of that. You've shown that you just make stuff up to support your argument. So prove it.
And, maybe I'm missing the point, but aren't most 'good matchday atmospheres' predominantly fuelled by moronic chanting?
Nope.
And as for the Forest thing, if you don't care about local rivalries, you're just not a fan. You're a dull-witted, unimportant, amateur pundit who'd be better off dribbling over operas.
Are you one of these people who sings "we 'ate Forist, we 'ate Derby, oothefook are Coventry"? And let's not get involved in the question of who's more of a fan, shall we?

Re: Matty Fryatt

I must be the only person in the world who thinks it's a bit odd that Leicester fans - and to my mind, only Leicester fans - are so bothered about the lyrical depth of what people are singing. Maybe we should have a Leicester City poetry corner to decide what exactly merits being put into verse.

And where all this stuff about us needing racist chanting comes from I don't know. I've just pointed out that any raising of voices constitutes noise; including racist chanting, as thoroughly abhorrent (and thankfully non-existent nowadays) as it is. I remember Mark McGhee saying that he'd prefer to hear booing than nothing at all. Which, knowing the predominantly idiotic nature of the contributions here, will no doubt cue a wave of people telling me that my point of view is totally null and void because I've quoted Mark McGhee.

Bollocks am I. It was *you* who suggested that certain chants were conducive to creating an atmosphere. I was simply asking you if you would include the obnoxious 'Paki' chant and you have confirmed that you would.

Would I be right in guessing that you are exactly the sort of person who reads racism into everything someone says, whether or not there's the slightest hint of it in what someone says? (No need to wait for an answer. Yes you are. T**t).

You know nothing about me or my background. The only twat here is you and what is more you are proving it by your previous comments.

Oh, I get it Syd. You need to have lived in a council house your entire life to contribute to an atmosphere. Got it.

:icon_eek:Pardon?

Non-existent?

I hear it FAR too often at games for it to be described as 'non-existent'.

Exactly. Bristol away recently was a prime example. (Albeit they stopped short of the worst bits.)

Syd, there were no idiots here before you came.

Re: Matty Fryatt

(Blue Maniac) I'm not in the slightest bit interested in who's the biggest fan. But no, you're not capable of dismantling an argument (assuming that was you doing your level best).

I love it when people ask people to 'prove it'. Do you want photographic evidence? Should I swear on the Bible? Honestly. Yes, I've heard stewards telling people to be quiet. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Perhaps you take your dictaphone to matches just in case someone says anything unpleasant, but I don't.

(Spion Fox) 'You're the only twat round here'. Beautiful. These are the people behind the the campaign for creative chanting at Leicester City matches.

And I can't remember which of you suggested that I condone people calling ME Paki. I'm not hyper-sensitive enough to care. And if you read that from anything I said then, somehow, you've managed to make yourself seem even more of a tit than I previously thought you were. That really puts you one up on the guys on Foxestalk.

Re: Matty Fryatt

I only feel the need to contribute on here about once every three years. Normally I just read to see if anyone's got anything interesting to say. I've piped up a few times recently and the responses are, quite possibly, among the strongest counter-arguments against Darwinism I've ever come across.

If what Jeff's saying is true, then I can only surmise that the vast majority of people who waste their lives writing on football forums are, indeed, morally and spiritually pointless. That's the most optimistic conclusion I can come to. But God bless you all nonetheless.

Bigger. Not biggest. Bigger. And yes you are, clearly.

Clearly you didn't read what I posted. But why would I waste my time on
someone who's just making things up and refuses to pay attention? I didn't want to lower myself to your level but you, sir, are behaving as an ill-educated cretin.
