Re: Matty Fryatt

I've piped up a few times recently and the responses are, quite possibly, among the strongest counter-arguments against Darwinism I've ever come across.

So they're not very strong ones then.

the vast majority of people who waste their lives writing on football forums are, indeed, morally and spiritually pointless. That's the most optimistic conclusion I can come to. But God bless you all nonetheless.

Morally pointless for not advocating blind hatred in football chants? :102:

And what does spirituality have to do with anything? :icon_conf

When you say 'Darwinism', do you mean the theory of evolution by natural selection? And if so, how have any of these responses in any way provided a counter-argument to it? I'm very intrigued.

I only feel the need to contribute on here about once every three years.
Far too often if you ask me.
Normally I just read to see if anyone's got anything interesting to say. I've piped up a few times recently and the responses are, quite possibly, among the strongest counter-arguments against Darwinism I've ever come across.
I don't think you understand how evolution works.
If what Jeff's saying is true, then I can only surmise that the vast majority of people who waste their lives writing on football forums are, indeed, morally and spiritually pointless. That's the most optimistic conclusion I can come to. But God bless you all nonetheless.
So it's been demonstrated that you're talking a load of arse, and now you're leaving with a snide comment? You won't be missed.

Re: Matty Fryatt

The great benefit of working late is that I can actually have the last word. For now at least.

I think there's a wonderful combination of no sense of humour and absolute imbecility going on here. There's nothing more fantastic than winding up a fool. Or fools, as it happens.

What have you achieved here? I'm not a racist, my only objection has been against the censorship of a decent vibrant atmosphere. Still not sure what your argument is, apart from for an intellectually synchronised chanting system. Actually, in reference to your last comment, I'm not going anywhere. In fact I'm going to really annoy you from now on. And no, I've not made anything up. I like the idea that, in Blue Maniac-world (what a fantastic place that must be) people invent banal conflicts between stewards and Leicester City Football Club fans. Have you any idea how hilariously rubbish that is?

And, by the way, I think Matty Fryatt is still a half-decent player.

Re: Matty Fryatt

Good to see you staying, syd, you've added a bit of spice to the debate. It's almost like the good old Biff vs Boc days.

Re: Matty Fryatt

Well that was a lively debate wasn't it :icon_lol:

Incidentally Syd, I've been to several matches in Milan and the racist chanting and monkey noises are rife (including to their own players). There is a lot of noise being made inside the stadium, but to be honest, if it needs overt racism to generate 'atmosphere' then I'd rather it was a bit quieter than justify that as something that helps to get the crowd going.

Yep, I spotted that too...

You've wound nobody up. Sorry, Syd.

I didn't say you were. Have you made this up too?

Nope, that's not, nor has it ever been, my argument; you've made that up as well.
Actually, in reference to your last comment, I'm not going anywhere. In fact I'm going to really annoy you from now on.
I doubt it.
And no, I've not made anything up.
Yes you have. And you've ignored what I told you before. Some achievement.

I did not say there's no conflict. I said nobody has ever been told to stop making a noise at the Walkers. If you know different, I apologise and encourage you to complain to the club. But my guess is you don't. My guess is you made it up, because that's what you apparently do.
And, by the way, I think Matty Fryatt is still a half-decent player.
Finally we agree on something Syd :icon_wink I like it that way. When you learn to refrain from personal attacks (if that is at all possible) you might get good at this discussion malarkey.

Re: Matty Fryatt

Ewood Park would be more intimidating than the death ramp behind Ilderton road on a match day if racism improved atmosphere. I'd much prefer a quiet Walkers than to have to stoop to the level of Leeds fans.

Re: Matty Fryatt

I just saw Syd's occupation, that's more worrying that the fact they let me teach children with my idiocy!

Exactly the point I was trying to make to 'syd' but he just didn't seem to 'get' it.

Re: Matty Fryatt

But you aren't a proper fan cos if you were anything is acceptable as long as it made some noise.

That really is what 'syd' was saying.

I still can't quite believe how anybody could think that way.

Re: Matty Fryatt

Most cynical attempt at securing a TB award I've ever seen

Shocking stuff :018:

Re: Matty Fryatt

Can I just point out that only non-whites can be offended by racism.
Now then, who wants a banana?

Re: Matty Fryatt

Personally I think the best way to enhance the atmosphere would to serve brussels sprouts and baked beans.
