That sounds like fun. Two hours on a coach to Glasgow, then wait around probably for hours for the coach going the other way, and after another two hours I'd be back where I started, still no nearer my destination.

No, it's in the terms and conditions. They can charge the full fare and a handling fee - and that's if there's still space on the coach and they haven't given someone the seat.

But they couldn't stop me getting off at Carlisle on the way back.
