Yeah, after the case was solved it did drag on a bit too long, but that's necessary for the second book.

Second book just finished, actually enjoyed it more than the first as it didnt seem to have as many filler moments. Looking forward to starting the third book tomorrow :)

Just about to start, Silent Scream by Karen Rose

Finished Silent Scream, a good read.

Then went straight into the Last 10 Seconds, by Simon Kernick.
Bloody brilliant, most gripping book I've read in a long while. 9/10.

Think I'll look for more from Simon:icon_cool, a relativley new kid on the block, so I'm led to believe.

Next up The Creeper by Tania Carver

"The Way It Was" - Stanley Matthews autobiography.

Great line on page 106 regarding the FA's reluctance to enter the World Cup:

"Not for the first time, or indeed last time, our FA proved itself to be short-sighted, elitist, insular and out of step with the way football was heading."

And that was written over 10 years ago about an event over half a century ago.

Some things never change.

Bought 2 books t'other day.

Finished Cecilia Ahern's 'Book of tomorrow' last night. Was a decent read, sometimes you just want a story which doesnt make you'' think too much!

Am now about to start Dan Brown' 'The Lost Symbol'.

You'll be alright with The Lost Symbol then. The only thing I thought about that was 'what a load of bollox'.

I've got quite a few of Simon Kernick's books somehow but have never read one. I might give them a go after this recommendation.

Haven't had time to read much recently due to exams and the upcoming wedding, but Rachel is off out tonight and I don't have anything urgent to get done so I'm going to get cracking on something new tonight. Mr Kernick may be just the man.

IM, go for it.
Gave the book to my 21 year old son to read and he's enjoying it as well.

The creeper was another good read, 8/10.
Just started a James Patterson book, "run for your life".

Dirty Havana trilogy - Pedro Juan Guitiérrez. good read

got Murakami - underground start tonight. can believe i only heard of him this year fantastic writer:038:

Just finished Michael Conelly's "The Scarecrow". Great book, if you like crime dramas then you really should read some of this guy's books.

I've got to decide whether to read "The reversal" on the kindle or some of the paper backs I've been given for Xmas.

Have bought two more books today(Got to love cheap bookstores!)

One about a little black cat called Cleo which brings a family together. I get the feeling it might be a bit sad at the end though:icon_cry:

And some fantasy fiction thing which looked interesting enough to pick up.

I NEARLY bought the Take That annual that was in there but somehow managed to stop meself.....it'll be cheaper after the weekend so will get it then!

Just read a couple of Robert Goddards which were really enjoyable if you like your fiction with twists aplenty.

Currently reading Bill Bryson - Neither Here Nor There.
